  1. I used a 15 amp in mine but I could go with a lower fuse as I have changed my lights to LEDs. Also put an extension bracket on the light bar. It makes getting into the faring much easier ( you don't have to drop the light bar to remove the fairing). http://s253.beta.photobucket.com/user/slowrollwv/media/DSCF1816.jpg.html?sort=3&o=75
  2. Brakes and clutch should be flushed once a year. If you check them and they are dark in color it needs a change. I had 60,000 on mine and went to stainless steel lines and cables. I also use speed bleeders, they make flushing the system a lot easier.
  3. I would be interested if it is on a Sat. It is a 5 hr. ride for me.
  4. Well from the looks it is a decent bike but too small for me after riding my Venture the last seven years. I will keep my bike and do some upgrades instead of buying another bike. Like V-Max cams and springs, V-Max gears and a DK-3. That should do it for this year anyhow.
  5. It is suppose to be a little better tomorrow. I will get mine out and go for a short ride then ride it to work on Monday. :cool10:
  6. Same here Don. I will take three. Thanks
  7. Glad to hear that you are back to work. I know what it is like, For the last three years I have been off work for four months, Not due to layoff but for medical purposes. All three times it was from Jan. 30 to June 1. and I hate to be off work in spring time.
  8. LOL! I have a Krispy Kreem calender that someone sent me, But I dare not post it on here.
  9. I installed a HID headlight 35W and 6000K and did the LED driving lights also ( truck lites ) from Kury. They are very bright and save a bunch on the charging system. BTW I only had a little over $220.00 for all three lights in this set up.
  10. I have a shim tool I can lend. All I ask is that you return it when done. Send me your address in a PM and I will get it to you
  11. I don't think the helmet would do them any good if they cut the strap on the d-ring. But they could cut it just to be A$$ holes though.
  12. Wv has that law. I would not ride without one but that is by choice. What the rest of the people do is there choice, but it is the law here that all wear a helmet. I had two crashes a long time ago that split my helmets wide open, I would not have survived the first one without a helmet.
  13. When we were shooting 3D we use to step off course and pick a trick shot. Then all in the group tried to follow. A lot of arrows got broke doing that. When we shot indoors we played SLAM! One would shoot and everybody on the line would try to hit his knock.
  14. You ante just whistling Dixie there. I use to shoot tournament archery in the mid 80's. Every time I went to our club to practice I would shoot against four State champions that belong to the club.
  15. Happy Birthday Don. Hope you have a great one.
  16. The parts on my son's Honda looked like that. We took it apart , sanded them and polished them ( they look like chrome) then used a good hi temp clear coat to finish the job.
  17. The wheel may be a direct drop in and the rotors may bolt to a Strat wheel but I would look awful close at the clearance of the fender before I would try to fit any other wheel on a 99 to 2013 Venture. I don't see enough room for anything in there.
  18. A friend was having trouble getting his leg down to use the rear brake on his Goldwing due to a previous accident. He ask if I could do something to help. This is what I came up with. http://s253.beta.photobucket.com/user/slowrollwv/media/IMG102_zpsb0a7bc1a.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 http://s253.beta.photobucket.com/user/slowrollwv/media/IMG101_zps7a562cae.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1
  19. Not a lot you can do about short people. Maybe get a booster seat for the back. I am 5' 10" my wife is 5'2" but I don't have that problem cause she is always asleep.
  20. Most people set the front bolt in place then lower the bottom rail to run along the bottom of the saddle bag and drill a new hole in the fender rail. You might want to check the width on the back part of the rail sometimes they get bent in shipping.
  21. I did a custom brake peddle for a friend a couple weeks ago. Went to Lowes to get a few chrome acorn nuts. Nothing?? they had them in 1/4" but nothing bigger What a place.
  22. The gauge pods were made by Tripmasters and when he passed away the business went under. His wife sold all of his parts and stock to the Venturers. That is the story I was told when I got my pod from them.
  23. I don't know, never stopped at one.
  24. Funds sent. Hang in there Paul and get well soon.
