I have a stinger trailer which I used to tow my bike from Ontario to Arizona in Feb through all kinds of weather. It worked great with no problems. It is easy for one person to load or unload bike.It is a near perfect trailer if you have a smaller car for towing dale
-
Trader I have the stinger trailer and do not think moving the axle for weight adjustment is necessary It is well balanced and works well even in unfavorable conditions. I have it in my garage and if you are ever in this part of Ontario your welcome to have a look at it dale

2006 RSTD Poor Fuel Mileage - Suggestions
dkip replied to 1fastbob's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I have a 2006 RSTD and the mpg drop like yours did and the bike still ran fine just a lot more gas It was a bad coil. If you have not checked the coils yet I would try that first. You can just warm up the bike and feel the pipes to see if they all get hot On mine one pipe never got warm. It is worth a try if you have not eliminated the coils as a problem yet dale -
Had two root canal and two crowns done in Bangalore India for 418.00 The dentist did look somewhat like the fellow in the above video. But actually had it done three years ago and everything is still good Dale

Road Star luggage rack on an 06 RSTD
dkip replied to dwatson636's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I have one on my 2006 and it is strong enough for a tour bag and I like the looks of it better than the model made for the rstd Dale -
Have one on my 2006 RSTD and like it very much Dale
-
I have the stinger trailer and loading and unloading with one person is not a problem It sits very low to the ground and the bike stays put once in the wheel chuck Mind I do not have a Venture but it works good for a RSTD
-
I have a stinger motorcycle trailer that i used to trailer my RSTD from Stratford Ontaro to Lake Havasu AZ. It work perfect through the most worst road conditions imaginable It folds up small to store and is easy to load the bike on by yourself. It can be used with a midsize car no need for truck. If you google stinger trailers you will find all kinds of information and pictures dale

Thanks everybody for the help so far. It's looking like a coil problem. I have an mechanic with a small shop near by who I have used before and he is willing to take a coil of a 2009 model and put it on mine and replace it with one from Yamaha when they get them in. I believe at this time it is my best option if I want to get riding again as soon as possible. V7Goose thanks for the offer of a coil but if this works out I will not need it. If it doesn't go as planned I will get back to you. This is a US bike so the warranty doesn't work up here Again many thanks to everyone I'm always amazed at how helpful everyone on this site is. Hopefully early next week I will be able to let you no that a coil fixed it Dale

I changed both plug wires and coil wires and now the let cylinder is getting hot but not the right. So I still have to do more test to show its not the plug cap dale
