  1. I was going to drill out the cat, but decided to try it first. I'm glad I did. The R/G pipes are quiet enough in normal driving and idle. Under moderately to heavy acceleration, they bark pretty good and are plenty loud for me. Ponch

  4. Some have said they tie to the crash bars.
  5. "Why is it that radial tires are better for cars but not for bike? I was wondering why the RSV doesnt have radials on them from the factory anyway? " I've wanderwed that for awhile. someone said the 1500 Golwing was Bias ply only, but the 1800 GW is radial only. Don't understand why. The darksiders are running radial rear and bias front. I'M SO CONFUSED! Ponch

  7. Kreg, I had to do likewise on the left side pipe. Drop by on your way home one day and we'll check mine out. Ponch
  8. Click here These are from Diamond R. They raise the rear for improved low speed handling. Ponch
  9. unless you tell them. Most don't care anyway. They know that people use aftermarket parts to deal with handling issues. Some dealers even install the Baron's lowering kit without affecting the warranty. Ponch
  10. I got one, I love it. Bike takes up less room in the garage and makes tire pressure checks and oil changes a snap. Just buy a 1st gen centerstand off ebay and make your own brakets per the bracket article and your off. Freebird stand article Ponch
  11. Your right, I'm wrong, His e-mail message just hit me wrong and I felt like venting, My bad, I'm over it too, moving on I agree, sometimes we (I) get bent out of shape over something I knew about and did anyway. My wife is usually the one to show me my error and rub in it my face (in love of course). Glad you made peace with it. If its in you, you might amend your ebay response (if that's possible). Ponch
  12. She used to clean my bikes, but that ship done sailed. Ponch
  13. I notice when the main page opens, this function does not work. But if I go to the end of the main page posts, click "more", the fuction works then. If I hit "Home", it disappears again. Ponch
  14. Yup. A few bugs get through even when closed. Cleaning is fun but does not outweigh the benefit of the vent. Ponch
  15. Haven't had time to figure out how to work the VRphotobucket yet, so here's a few in my picture gallery. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1896 Ponch
  16. Looks kinda tall to me. May also be a problem matching the surface of the trunk lid.
  17. I think we'll make it. Gas is getting easier to get every day. Many are still without power but those of us who have it are sharing showers and washing machines etc. The FEMA Points Of Distribution are helping. Thanks JB and others who are offering assistance. Ponch
  18. I love my stand. I park it in the garage on the stand and it takes up less room. Makes Oil changes a breeze and since its always on the stand (at home), I can check my oil and tires easily before taking off. :2cents: Ponch
  19. Thanks Bill. Can't wait til' next gathering. Ponch
  20. I like surprizes.
  21. It was nothing. Glad to help. By the way, I'm partial to Strawberry. Ponch
  22. Thanks Mike, Glad to see you & meet Terri too. Ponch
  23. Same here Dan. Cindy was a hoot. Did she ever get enough sleep? Ponch
  24. We were in Eureka Springs during the storm. My house just lost a few shingles and my fence was flattened. No biggie. Houston & area is a rel mess though. Ponch
  25. Made it home Monday about 6:30 PM. Man, Goose & Stoutman, you guys are really blessed! That was some serious wood falling between your rides. Too bad for the Aussie whose truck got sqashed though. Good ride all the way home. Tallimena was clear this trip, but no time to ride it. Hit serious storm damage all the way through East Texas. Trees and power lines don't last too long in Hurricanes. Spent the night in Jefferson, TX. We got the last room. The motel was full of evacuees from Southeast Texas. The power had just been restored about two hours before we got there. No real damage at home. Lost our fence and some shingles off the roof. Lilbit was a little road wary when we got home (1900 total miles including a pass by her mom's house in East Texas). Really enjoyed meeting all. Great rides, people, location, accomodations. What else can you want? Thanks to Bill, Buddy, Danny and Goose for the great rides. Michael, try not to blind anyone with those new road burner lights. Ponch
