But I'm in Chorpus Christi, TX about two hundred miles from my scoot.

Now you can't chase her around the sofa for a while. But then I guess you won't have to. She can't get away from you. LOL We hope she heals real soon.

I got one, I love it. Bike takes up less room in the garage and makes tire pressure checks and oil changes a snap. Just buy a 1st gen centerstand off ebay and make your own brakets per the bracket article and your off. Freebird stand article Ponch

Don...thanks for posting the RSV assembly manual...
Ponch replied to SilvrT's topic in Watering Hole
I was able to access the manual. I use Adobe 7.0 Standard. From some reason I was unable to post a reply on the other thread, but all is well on this thread. Ponch -
I thought it had a hard cover and the first pic was in the process of opening it up. I'm jealous, I been wanting a pop up for a while. Good score. Ponch

These snap around your belt. They come in insulated vinyl or leather. I like them. http://www.whitehorsepress.com/images/products/large/cpez.jpg http://www.whitehorsepress.com/product_info.php?products_id=5377

Good info from Rick Butler: "In fact in those cases where the shock is making that squeaking or groaning noise, it is doing this because the seal is dry and really needs to be lubricated. At this point, I would suggest that you could lay the bike down on it’s side and let some of the oil run down the side and I’ll bet your groaning shock will quiet down. Also, I would have no problem taking the schrader valve out and squirting in a couple ounces of 20 weight fork oil down the hose to help lube the ram." http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2220

Risers & flanders?
Ponch replied to jimmydsmith7's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I have the risers, but hate the way they crunch the ignition switch cover at full turn. Plus the fairing bounces around if you don't provide some additional support. I am considering the Flanders bars. I think they are a better option than the risers. Ponch -
I hope you can get your antennae replaced under warranty, but while waiting, I can send you one. PM me with an address, and its on its way. Just make a $5.00 donation to venturerider.org in Gunbaoat's name (he gave it to me). Ponch

Was nice to meet you. Hopefully you'll stay on the board. We'll still come see you guys when up that way. You're welcome here as well. Ponch & LilBit

Shep, I'm glad you guys are safe now. So sorry your wife was hurt. I hope she recovers quickly. I had a little mishap that threw LilBit off the bike, but she wasn't hurt. Just killed me though. I was more upset over her being thrown than I was about damage to me or the bike. I tell you the fact that my inexperience on slow speed handling caused me to be very proactive about it. I got the Ride Like a pro DVD and practiced, practiced, practiced. Before she got back on WilderBeast, I was much improved. I am not insinuating this was your case, just mine. Ponch
