  1. On iPhones its under Settings/Privacy/Health. By default it is off. I check it after every single Apple update, like the one that installed last night. As far as taking my phone into any location, I carry mine just about everywhere. Primarily work related but sometimes it is used to take pictures, search isle / shelf locations etc.
  2. It's called Bluetooth tagging and it is becoming a 'thing' in stores. If your Bluetooth is on they have chips in the isles and if you stand in an isle for any length of time they can make a logical guess as to what you are looking at. These tags are also getting placed inside product boxes. Sort of like the anti theft strips in boxes. The close the box comes to your phone the more your phone registers it. They now have ones that don't require batteries so that is why it is becoming so popular.
  3. Quite frankly the numbers posted are also skewed and in some cases completely falsified. Acquaintances of ours at church told my wife just yesterday that they went to be tested because a family member they had seen ~2 weeks earlier tested positive. They went to a testing station, filled out the paperwork but had to leave prior to getting swabbed because the wait was so long. They were told to come back the next day and they would be moved to the front of the line. They went back and were told their test was positive. They had not even been swabbed for a test. I don't know what they did but I would have called every single TV/Radio show if it happened to me just to expose the scam. A Politician's medical reference on a recent televised announcement/interview (I believe for Cook County, IL - Chicago) said very clearly that if you test positive for COVID and "die of an alternate cause then you would be classified as a COVID death". I am trying to find the original but here is a narrated version https://www.facebook.com/lesa.fisherpatten/videos/3151129788277372. Everyone knows the Virus is real, not everyone knows or wants to believe the numbers are what is fake. They are substantially so if you extrapolate this out. I've listed before what happened to my own family in Ohio when my aunt died.
  4. A gentleman gets into a taxi in a large but quaint town. He gives his destination to the driver and the cab pulls away. A little ways through the journey the passenger suddenly remembers a forgotten item and he leans forward to tap on the shoulder of the driver and shouts ‘Hey driver’.... Immediately the driver slams on the gas and begins screaming in terror. The cab is screaming down the street, tearing by other cars. It’s utter mayhem... Eventually the driver slams on the brakes, the cab careens into a parking lot, skidding around pedestrians and screaming children and the elderly. With tyres screeching and smoking to a stop, just inches from a storefront window, the passenger sees the driver with a sheer look of terror, ghostly pale as seven shades of life fell out the driver‘s arse. ’Wow, aren‘t you twitchy today’ says the passenger, trying to regain composure. ’Terribly sorry sir’ says the driver. ‘This is my first day driving cab..... I’ve been driving a hearse for last 20 years’.
  5. I spent about 3 weeks lurking and reading everything I could find here on the SVTC, but I rarely commented. I found the encouragement that was freely given to everyone, regardless of their ride, the true selling factor. I was on a lot of other forums about the Venture and as soon as anyone mentioned a different bike people would go off. That does not happen here, we may get a little testy from time to time but that's part of being in a Family. That's what has developed here, Family. I've not met anyone here face to face, yet. I believe that will change as I've only been a member for a little over a year. The fact that I coughed up another $12 for another year says a lot because I'm a cheap SOB. This is the best $12 you will spend each year.
  6. The 13 K miles on the SVTC was on the Factory Bridgestone Exedra MT. I got 18K Miles on the CT on my '06. Was on a trip when my fuel pump went out the only shop with the part wouldn't work on it because it had the CT on it so I had to buy a new MT for it. Wish I would of known at the time how easy it is to change the fuel pump on that bike. I would've kept the CT on it for a lot more miles.
  7. Skip the 404's I tried 2 sets and got less than 6K on each one on my '06. I tried 2 Michelins during that time with similar results. All set at 34-35 lbs and checked weekly. I rode a lot that year, 18,000 miles roughly. 3 expensive tires in a year was disheartening to say the least. I went Dark on that bike after the 4th tire got less than 7000 mi. I put a ~18,000 on that CT before I was forced to change it while on a long ride. With the SVTC I got 13,000 miles out of the rear running at 39 - 41 lbs.
  8. I noticed the same thing and it was consistent for the first 6000 miles so I just made the mental note and now use the TPMS displayed. Keeping the pressure on the TPMS around 39 lbs I got 13000 out of the factory tire. I am on my second tire using the Bridgestone and I am seeing the same pattern. I haven't been riding much the last month or so which stinks but each time I get on the bike now I check it. Riding every day I would only check the pressure weekly.
  9. I have the X-Mount from RAM and It takes 2 hands to operate it. I have been seeing more and more positive reviews of the quadlock setup. This may become my future mount. https://www.quadlockcase.com/
  10. I pulled that up this morning. They actually got tagged for a tail light modulator. I could not find anything similar for tail lights.
  11. VentureFar, While I'm on board with the modulators I've been in groups where riders were cited for them. There still seems to be a lot of debate about the legalities of them across the states. Also, the color of the rear modulators seems to be a critical discussion point also.
  12. Sorry for taking a while to get back to you, Work and life, imagine that. Yep Brand of Car tire. 165/80/15. I used this site normally when looking at CT's for bikes. https://airtable.com/shrGYrQjwPv0obVJi/tblxn9IHFepMf1bFw?backgroundColor=orange&viewControls=on Extensive database. They recently updated the site format so I recommend using the expanded view. I will say though on the SVTC I got 13K out of the stock tire. I put another one on recently mainly for repair warranty concerns. I have found a dealer that will work on the bike with a CT so I expect to go dark with the next tire change.
  13. Don't know about the trailer but I put a Nexan on the back of my '06 with 36lbs. Into triple digits and no issues.

I dumped dish and went with Roku. We already had Netflix and Amazon Prime video. I added sling but I am finding I just don't watch all the channels and Sling is now owned by Dish. I am thinking about Dripping that too. My son's both do Disney + so I just added multiple account support to my Netflix and they added me to their Disney+. If you watch a lot of local TV you can add something like LoCast or just get an HD Antennae. We only have 75mbs internet connection and I'm lucky if I see 10 at night. and that's $80 but I need that for work. When it was all said and done (at least at the moment) I cut all my TV side of the costs from about $140 to $89. If I decide to term sling I will get that down to somewhere around $30 - $40. You will find that you just don't watch that many different channels. You can also add HBO and the like at ~$6 a month.
  15. We did a Zoom service for my son's fiancé. I worked very well but free accounts are limited to 40 or 45 minutes. I would ask the local gov't about a special case crossing. wouldn't hurt to try.
  16. While I agree with you mostly, I have only one discrepancy. I have a bike, I just want to ride it more My truck is a 2003 F150 sport. Not looking to replace it until it dies. Only put about 3 - 5K miles on it a year but ~14K (mostly commute to work) on the bike. Still need to ride more LOL. As far as the news. They only show whatever is in their agenda and will make them more money. Like Ferguson. There is a reason why there were no charges Civil or Criminal. Public record of trial is available but you never heard anything otherwise in the media.
  17. I can't call him a Martyr. A martyr is someone who dies because of their beliefs. If someone protesting peacefully were to be killed by the police then that person is a Martyr. Was he murdered? IMHO Absolutely, from what we know now. Floyd was suspected of a crime, passing counterfeit money. Did he deserver to die? Again, IMHO absolutely not. Does this office deserver to be put on trial, yes. Does he deserve the death penalty? From what we know right now, IMHO, yes. The maximum penalty allowed. As far as the Protests that result in damage to property and theft. Every single person who can be identified should also be prosecuted. I also believe that the organizers, perpetrators and anyone other than family helping to bail out looters and vandals should be held financially liable. If they can afford to bail out looters and vandals they should pay for the damage they have done. Recently people are saying Defund the Police? Really? If you truly believe in this then lawlessness and chaos will reign. Vigilantism will take over. 95% of all people are good people trying to whatever Job they have to the best of their ability. 1% are the criminals, looters, vandals etc. The other 4% I will not give my opinion of.
  18. Our condolences and prays for Marita and the entire family to receive some comfort during this time. Prayers for Karl because he suffers no more and is at his happiest looking on from above. Safely Home by Unknown I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and sobright! There is perfect joyand beauty In this everlastinglight. All the pain andgrief is over, Every restlesstossing passed; I am now at peaceforever, Safely home inHeaven at last. Did you wonder I socalmly Trod the valley ofthe shade? Oh! but Jesus' armto lean on, Could I have onedoubt or dread? Then you must notgrieve so sorely, For I love youdearly still; Try to look beyondearth's shadows, Pray to trust ourFather's Will. There is work stillwaiting for you, So you must not idlystand; Do it now, whilelife remaineth-- You shall rest inJesus' land. When that work isall completed, He will gently callyou Home; Oh, the rapture ofthat meeting, Oh, the joy to seeyou come!
  19. I had a neighbor, who supports the protests but not the looters, ask me what I would do if they were to march down our street. My response was simple, I will sit on my front porch cleaning my guns. She then promptly said "Well you'll be doing nothing but antagonizing them!" No I will be protecting my family and my property, trust me, they don't want to die. I won't antagonize them but will discourage nefarious actions on their part. I moved to Texas for work but I stay for many, many more reasons.
  20. Yeah, I love stuff like this but my skills aren't there yet. Maybe when I retire.
  21. Being that I like to make wood 'stuff' this is way cool. Is their any way you could link the history to your family name. Very often buildings were named after the owners of the land or the builder etc.
  22. I binge watched all of her stuff and noticed that too. I've downloaded Maps.Me but have not even opened it yet as work and home life are keeping me swamped at the moment.
  23. Please keep us updated. I have the same issues with my wife getting batted around on this bike.
  24. Glad to hear your safe. I've been lucky enough not to hit any deer although there have been several close calls. I did have a dog put me over the handle bars on a rural road in OH. High weeds right up to the side of the road and doing 35 - 40 around a small curve. It hit the front tire right on the right side while the curve went to the left. I was OK probably because I was still young enough but the dog was not. I was close to home and was able to ride it home slowly and with a lot of difficulty as the handle bars were bent. Had to replace the cheap JC Whitney windshield I had, handle bars, crash bars, saddle bag and some paint. Like you, I will take the damage to the bike and was thankful to still be in one piece.
