  1. There was an air valve for the compression of the shock but the rubber boot for the lubricant was cracked.
  2. On my Gen 2 I had an oil 'leak' or 'drop' issue in virtually the same location. Finally tracked it down to the rear shock. Replaced that and cleaned it up. No more drips.
  3. Looks to be a nice ride for someone looking for a great deal on a touring bike. I've shared it with a couple of friends who may be interested.
  4. If you have Liftmaster's or Chamberlin's opener with Wi-Fi you can download the My Q app. This is how I open from the Bike and the Truck. As well as any other time I don't have an actual remote with me. You can also open the app via Voice activation. The only thing I haven't figured out is a 100% full hands free open Garage door command.
  5. LOL. Yes but they keep a lot of us employed fixing their 'design flaws'.
  6. I never knew that. I came across a still in a WV holler when I was about 14. Got some rock salt in my thigh over it, scared the crap out of me. He asked me about it on our next visit so we talked about it and staying away from stuff that wasn't mine in the woods. I never told my parents until I was an adult. They said it was his still and they knew all along. He taught me a valuable lesson about 'movin along' as he put it.
  7. LOL. My grandpa had a still in WV mountains. I understand the "poison" on both ends of the run. hence the old adage 'bad shine will make you go blind'. It'll also put you in the ground.
  8. Been wondering if I should setup my own micro still? Would it be legal? If you can make small amounts of beer and wine why not bourbon?
  9. @Freebird Call Reeds Junk Yard on 82 in Columbia Station. I used to be a frequent customer there and I have picked up several spare tires there both regular size and donut style. I will say that was 20 years or more ago but I do believe they are still in business.
  10. It wouldn't surprise me. I've had inspectors come out and say 'the process could be easier' and that was on low voltage cabling for things like networks and security systems. I actually had to report one inspector demanding requirements well above code after I told him 'I'm sure it would, but it's not going to happen'.
  11. Hey Kevin, I'm in SW Katy. Welcome. We're getting enough around the area maybe we should do a meetup. Maybe at the Paradise Grill in Coldspring? Just a thought a nice ride through the park. I could get a couple other riders, non-members there too as a couple of buddies have been chattering for a ride.
  12. And to this day there's still an outstanding Bench Warrant for VideoAZ 😄
  13. I have and use the Cardo Packtalk bold. I purchased this because friends that we ride with have them and it make rides even more enjoyable. Especially when your riding and your wife gets all excited seeing her first black bear and everyone joins in on the fun. Interbike communications has been awesome, even with large separation between riders. and it links to my phone without any issues. The only thing on my wish list would be full integration to the 2018 "Infotainment" system. That is not there nor do I believe it ever will be.
  14. Another good review Sir.
  15. @saddlebum I was just looking at these this morning. There is one that fully disassembles too. Port-A-Chopper™ Motorcycle Trailer - 1,200 lb Capacity | Discount Ramps
  16. Great to know Thanks. I've got nowhere to store a regular trailer unless it is light enough to fold/stand up on my own.
  17. So to expand this to a smaller trailer setup to even a small hauler. What about something like this The Original Slick Wheelie Motorcycle Hauler | The USA Trailer Store. I need something to pull the bike along because the Wife cannot make long distance trips on it any more.
  18. Go with the color the wife wants. Avoid wife issues wherever possible LOL
  19. This is Awesome news. I've only complained a little to the dealer because I didn't expect much. I need to go in for the recall on the brake switch soon so I will be sure to bring it up.
  20. This happened on my 06. It turned out to be the Fuse. I would check that first.
  21. LOL Me too on some of the oat based feed.
  22. When I'm in a more rural area I honor the Left lane for passing but here in Houston - on the bike I only want to monitor 6 jerks instead of 9. 5 - 8 lanes of traffic and Everybody is already tailgating and weaving in and out of traffic at 80MPH. In the pickup I'm still not OK in the middle lanes. If you are in that big of a hurry you should have gotten your lazy but out of bed sooner.
  23. If money weren't an issue at the moment I would be looking to do some more to mine also. I would love to put the lower deflectors on and the luggage rack on the trunk.
  24. I see nothing wrong with eating Oatmeal and Banana. How many put banana slices in their Oatmeal for breakfast? 🙋‍♂️ It's only the stigma of them being labeled dog treat.
  25. Depends on the skills of the mechanics. Newer bikes don't have carbs let alone dual carbs. costs to much to train them on how to sync dual carbs or work on items that are basically non existent today.
