  4. In Or around the second week of November, i make my yearly pecan Pie Ride to the Merritt Pecan Company in Weston Georgia ( But I book two night at the Perry KOA as a base camp ) i buy about 40 pecan, 20 Chocolate pecans, nought rolls, brittles, and 1 lb bags of pecans to bake with, Chocolate candies. They are gifts to my homeowners that purchase more then 5 K on home remodeling so, this is my Thank You's. not to mention some goodies for my friends and family's tables for Thanks Giving, I thought this would be a nice weekend meet and great. The ride from Perry to Weston Georgia and back is about 300 miles. I leave at 8:30 from camp, up in Weston by 12 noon, stop for lunch at the (Back Porch ) in Shellman Georgia ( Awesome Southern Soul food ), back in Perry by 6 pm, just in time for some dinner on the grill. I drag my trailer to load up three large coolers with Goodies
  5. Really, Actual paid up membership at this moment is 1,090. 139 votes is 13% of members. Geez we need to do some major Home redecoration in here, get rid of all the old clothes. Know I see why on 60 to 75 people come to the outings. its normally 8 to 11% are the hard core members.
  6. Personally I don't like to ride the highway my friend Karen Solis who is on this site Rides a shadow 750 and I prefer to ride along at 55-60 then be on any highway. No ride to Galena Illinois two years ago we did nothing but side roads and made it up there in 4.5 days
  7. OK I'm just gonna put this out here, we have over 12,000 members on the board don't we?. I just can't figure out why we only have 139 votes for the next International Rally for 2016. Don't you people actually get on your motorcycles and ride them. I find that the greatest pleasure of this motorcycle group is actually going to meet the people at meet and greets international rallies or just the place asleep as I'm on the road . So what's your excuse for not coming to these rallies? I just don't understand why you sit at your computer and Live your life precariously through the travels of someone else. If you can't ride your bike to an event get in your car show up. be part of the community come out meet new friends (A Face to a Name ). Enjoy traveling with your fellow riders see sites that you've never seen before enjoy the beautiful country of Canada for me here in the United States . Get off your ares and BE a follow member Offer a meet and greet in your area Set up a weekend camping trip Get involved Okay in done

  16. a friend let me ride his 49CC mini bike. a few years later I saved 1400.00 dollars a bought a 1979 Honda XL 185 ( I didn't know how to shift, so I had a friend ride it home for me, I learned to shift in my yard. I rode it for 5 years ad added 87K to it. top speed of 64 mph.
  17. my friend Karen & I talked about, what if the IR was out west next year, I'd go as far as Idaho, we'd be on the road 3 weeks. three weeks ago, the talk was stopping the event. but with the outpour of interest. I'm glad this will continue.
  18. The downside to working with companies like this is as of like Home Depot and Lowe's they are just the supply agents most of these companies by spots on their shelves or solicit their product through a vendor. Trying to contact Home Depot Lowes or as of this one Harbor freight they would have to forward that message onto the supply company which is most likely Japan China or somewhere like that the unfortunate up that is they put out so many products they just don't care. The upside to this is if you can find a manufacturer's registration already think that affect you may be able to find aftermarket parts were directly contact the manufacturer and see if a part can be available at work as I had to go to Japan for a drive shaft for my Yamaha venture which stripped out on my bike at 12,000 miles . The Yamaha shop that I was working with refuse to honor the service contract on my bike because I had a trailer hitch.
  19. today was the first time in over 9 weeks that I was out on my bike.
  20. last year as I left the IR in Guntersville, In my heist to make it to New Jersey before my mom passed. I rode 81 down to 29 and around DC and Biltmore . even though it rained on me most of my trip to NJ. I said I was going to come back. In the pouring rain I stopped in a little town called Buchanan VA. ( some really nice people there ) I told them why I was going to NJ, they packed me some extra food and drink, and send me on my way. they even cover the lunch bill. I'm going back to thank them. stopping in Weston Georgia, and buying a few (12) pecan pies as a Thank You.
