    Its a shame, Yamaha can't integrate the Venture into the New 1300 Deluxe. Other than the Belt drive, this would be a good Mix, on components. I would definitely drop the bucks, if they would make the Deluxe into a total touring package:mo money::mo money:

    Just glad your doing okay, Had my run in with one back in 1984. I will never have a deer alert on my bikes again. They really work

    mine dripped oil also, brought it in to have it replaced, and while this was being done, I did the Valve shims replaced. scary thing when your 200 miles from home and notice oild drips on the side covers:bawling:

    I'm 6'4", 34 inseam. I use the floor boards only to shift, then move my legs forward to the highway pegs. Just more comfortable for me

    If it wasn't for this site, My local Yamaha dealer would have walked all over me, with cycle repairs. Like the Carbs job that was said to be done & what actually happened and was on the company's files for being done. I'm fighting for the 900+ dollars back on that one. I was informed on what to ask, and became real smart on the repair in question. I saved thousands of dollars, by doing the work myself, so for 12 bucks. you can almost get room and board here.:bowdown:

    I filed a complaint with the Hamilton Ontario Police department. and asked them to call me back, so I can let them recorded his call. I also requested a case number for the file. incase he continues to call.
