I love to wave while laying my bike over into tight turns, in the pouring rain, as the back tire tries to side out from behind me, "Way Coool " been riding for 33 years, do it , don't do it. its your choice. down here in south Florida, or in any of my travels, its more then respect. "Its I have your back":thumbsup2::clap2:

The KOA's Have Cabin with or with bathrooms (Delexe) Kitchenettes. I just choice to have the ones without.

I have made an Inquirer with KOA, If they will discount, nightly stays for the Riders/Guests coming to the 2014 International in Alabama next year. I stayed in an air conditioned Kabin, took Hot Showers, and had a place to cook my dinners every night, while on the road. I saved hundreds of dollars by not staying in a Motel/Hotel during my travels. I basically slept in my own bed, with my own pillows every night. If they will allow me to set up a code word, for the travelers.every campground along your routes of travel would be covered. Lets see what KOA will offer us. ( My fingers are crossed)

Brake Pad replied to Bert2006's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I found out, when I pulled up behind a black truck and didn't see my headlight, that made me go look. no known indications. ( Inspect your bike before you leave) comes to mind:bowdown: -

Michael - Thank you for considering the Lake Guntersville State Park & Lodge for your 2014 Venture Riders Rally. We would look forward to the opportunity to host this group at our facility July 27-31, 2014. I have checked availability and we have both lodge rooms and camping available from July 27 – 31, 2014 that would fit your needs. Based on your arrival and departure pattern we could offer a special rate of $99.00, plus 12% lodging tax and $1.00 surcharge for our beautiful bluff side lodge rooms and a special rate of $85.00, plus 12% lodging tax and $1.00 surcharge for our parking lot side lodge rooms. Our bluff side rooms feature 2 queen size beds and terraces overlooking Lake Guntersville while our parking lot rooms feature 1 queen size bed and a patio. For the campers in your group we can offer water & electric sites for $17.00 per night and water, electric and sewer sites for $19.00 per night, plus 12% lodging tax and 25 cent surcharge. These rates include complimentary wi-fi in both the lodge and campgrounds. For those “down times” in your agenda we have many outside activities that your participants may enjoy. For those that enjoy the outdoors we have 36 miles of walking trails available. The trails are rated from easy to moderate to difficult. We can even arrange for one of our staff to lead an educational hike for your group. For the Golfers in your group we offer a championship course designed by Jerry Pate. Green fees are $32.00 per person which includes 18 greens and a cart. Additionally, with reserved tee times and booked as a group, a golf package can be created for your group to enjoy. We also have a zero-entry family pool that allows our lodge guests to skip the stairs and submerge slowly into the pool as they would the ocean. Dressing rooms and restroom facilities are also available and adjacent to our pool area. In addition, we have an indoor steam room and separate sauna in the lower area of the lodge. For those who would like to visit the downtown area of Guntersville the city of Guntersville can arrange a complimentary shuttle service with pickup and drop offs every half hour. Our downtown area features a number of charming shops and boutiques and our downtown merchants association often offers special discounts and incentives to our lodge guests. Another activity we can arrange at no charge is educational seminars led by Patti Donnellson our on-site Naturalist. Examples of programs we have done in the past are: Wetlands Walks, Nature Walks, Nature Crafts, Plant Identification, Tracks, Scat and Signs. Our Naturalist can tailor programs to fit your group’s interests. Lakeside, the Beach Pavilion offers a great place to play in the sand, enjoy a game of beach volleyball or take a dip in beautiful Lake Guntersville. The Beach Pavilion is located next to our beach area and offers showers, dressing rooms, a snack kitchen and shaded picnic tables. The State Park also has several piers available for fishing. Fishing license, worms and crickets can be purchased at our Campground Store. Just bring your pole! For your day trips we have several areas of interest in our area: · http://www.alapark.com/brochures/pdfs/Cathedral.pdf - 26 miles one way. · http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g30549-d264873-Reviews-Noccalula_Falls_Park_Campground-Gadsden_Alabama.html - 37 miles one way · http://www.outdooralabama.com/oaonline/cheahaoao.cfm - 97 miles one way · http://barbermuseum.org/ - 80 miles one way · http://rattlesnakesaloon.net/Saloon/Saloon_home.html - 121 miles one way I have met with our CVB Director and she will be happy to organize additional itineraries of interest for your group. In addition we have a grant program that your group may quality for…..it will provide funds up to $5,000.00 based on the room nights your group uses while in Marshall County. These funds can be used in a variety of ways to enhance your group’s stay while in our area. This should give you an idea of some of the accommodations and activities we can provide at the Lake Guntersville State Park Lodge. We certainly hope to have the opportunity to host the Venture Riders at our wonderful facility. I have also talked to a few Bikes shops, that would be interested in setting up shop. But I have to check with the state park, to see, if vendors need a permit (?) Most of the management, ride also. I gotta tell you, I was quite surprised by the beauty of this place. OH and the road into it "You like swistees" ? If most people want shirts, I will us one of there local printers, to do the work ( already have a shirt design rolling around in my head ) I have a few friends that love to camp. so I'm going to invite more friends to come

thank you, just add this to our todo list
