Get a writen estaimte for parts & Labor, for the repairs to the bike. (FYI) get two quotes. this way you can prove expences for repairs, & that the officer, Guest on the Damage. The officer was incorrect on giving an estaimate of damages. quotes should be done by an insurance adjuster.

I have a question, First nice pictures, Second, how do you have pictures for a date that hasn't happened yet?
-
so anyway, I checked anntena light, pole lights, colored anntena sticks. Yama Mama, answer is best, the flag. But may be a brighter color, as to make it more noticeable, like Forest Green with Gold lettering:confused24: I'd buy Two, one for the bike & One for the Trailer

I'm going out of the box on this one. First and formost safty is key. I'm for keeping your hands on the handle bars, and let the bike do the talking for you. The flag is nice, but you have to look for it, and figure riding at 70+ miles pre hour (highways), your not going to see it. The only thing that sits high enough, is your anntena I'm going to do same investigation, and apply some answers

Yamaha Royal Star Venture - Models 2001 vs. 2007
Brake Pad replied to dharnie's topic in Watering Hole
its funny you say that. at first I thought height (Me personal) had something to do with the control of the bike. 6'4" & 250 Lbs, I find I throw the bike into the turns, all the chicken strips are gone from my bike. The one big question I have. Is it just me, or does the front tire (Bridgestone) get sloppy when it first rolls onto wet pavement. But after its wet, the bike rides alittle better, but I have to really slow down, coming on to wet roadways, its even worse, when I'm pulling a trailer P.S. fast question. what should the Rear stock be at when riding two up & pulling at trailer. I just replaced my rear tire last week, (I'm questioning myself here) did I have enough, pressure on the rear shock, (I Bottomed out) I may have caused the rear tire to fail -
The dogs knows you have BAD BREATH!!!!!???? That was the right answer right?

I sent an e-mail yesterday, explaining about this site, and the people that use that tire. I requested them to come look for themselfs. I informed them this was the largest Venture site in the county. (I did lie)and that they should come look for them selves

Sorry Carbon_one, I looked at trailers for over four months before finding this one. I was looking for space, 20 to 30 cu ft. the wife needs to carry EVERYTHING when we go....... the Matrix came in 26 cu ft, built is spare tire holder, built in cooler holder, all under the compartment. still leaving the 26 cu ft. we (SHE) needed. Now I'm looking for a small kitchen sink:rotf:

Ha Mother, I had my Metzler, rear tire chuck off, on the turnpike last weekend, we rode it 120 more, pulling our trailer, the tread hole was about the size of a tennis ball. I had 7,000 miles on it, and just replaced it with another Metzler.

front tire still stock bridgestone, I'm on my third rear tire thought 20,200.miles

I had the rear end changed out at 12000, everything.drive shaft, spindles, now at 20,000. I've had the spindles greased 3 times, and going on the forth this weekend. I change the shaft oil, every 4, 5000 miles, make sure there's no metal shavings on the magnet, I bought my own gear oil.

Furious with yamha, may never buy one again
Brake Pad replied to ediddy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I know how you feel brother, I had the whole rear end changed out at 12, 300 miles, on an 2007, the spindles have been grease twice since then. Now just returned from a 900 mile trip over the weekend and the rear end is clicking again. I drain the rear end oil, every 5000 miles and check the gears for shavings @ the magnet. I'm coming up on my 20,000 mile turn it, I'm putting in the shop this weekend, I'll have them grease the rear end again. I guess its the reason why they have the 5 years warranty, It covers there A$$es from gettin sued:080402gudl_prv: -
I also looked at this trailer, but the cost factory, pushed me away. http://mmdivers@bellouth.net The Rover trailer by Matrix, was half the money
