  1. I too had the 880 shread on us, two up pulling the trailer. a peace about the size of a tennis ball came off. we were 120 home word bound, from St. Augustine Fl., I did'nt see the chunk missing till the following week, when I brought the bike in for service, to grease the rear HUB AGAIN.....just saw a black spot on the tire, and thought I hit a water spot on the service garage floor. OMFG, we could have been KILLED!!!!!!!!!!, and what do you think they replaced it with? another Metzler, this time a 180/80/16. I check the tires all the time now. I tell the wife, I'd rather be late, then dead..........
  2. i bought mine @ 12,300.00 in may of 2007
  3. I too got 17K out of my first brakes, I'm also at 26k and just had the last turn-up, no work of new brakes. and I pull a trailer 80% of the time. I let the bike slow me down most of the time, and always stay away from hard breaking. when stopping I use the engine, front brake , then rear, always, almost at the same time
  4. Dont feel bad, I got the same answer the 883 i cant figure it I ride a Yamaha venture, over 20,000 a year in milage, I hate Harleys, but will ride with someone that does. No chiken strips on my bikes tires, will lay that bike over, like any sports bike on the twisties Go ahead and trailer you bike somewhere:mytruck:, I'll mine up & Back Thank You.....

  20. I already see a problem with this, the red lights will, blind you when the light go on, limiting your visablity, to see in front of you. Just buy extra lights and mount them to the rear of your bike, between the saddle bags, or on a trunk, if you have one.
