  14. Galena from south Florida was a 4-1/2 day ride ( we loved that IR ) Guntersville was 2-1/2 day ride Where ever it is I'm going in 2016
  15. I came one here tonight to see where the next rally will be. Not to see a discussion on weather or not yo have them anymore. The international is what makes the VR site exciting. That yearly planed trip to another state, meet people from the board ( a face to a name ) to visit and ride beautiful places, enjoy the foods and the area. I no most people can't close up shop like me and travel for three weeks. But this is why they should be all over the country or up Nord with our Canadian Family "A". I look forward to meeting everyone. This is such a wonderful family, the friendships. The life long memories from the IR's If anyone's steps up ( I'll help from my computer ) I look forward to the 2016 IR where ever it may be.
  16. I ride at 65 all day long, don't give at rats butt, if most don't like it, I don't do highways or turnpikes, all backroad riding for me
  17. It doesn't matter I'm going..... Who's putting it on ? Come on, the stress is killing me....
  18. Geeeez Pug that sounds Awesome, I'm going to keep that open camp card option. Travel for me right now is impossible. To many new job starts coming down the line. Heck I'm still trying to figure out if I can get to Chaffee this year. Working at it. Thank You for the M&G, sure wish I had the time to travel
  19. You can always fall back on an option.......... Wait for it ........ A new Goldwing may do the trick ( just saying )
  20. It's an old post: reborn Grant it pulling a trailer for some is just unheard of: for others ( Like myself) it's the only way to travel. All back roads, 55-65 who cares, gas Milage at these speeds from 38/42 mpg, stop for fuel every 230 miles or so. ( seeing the old America priceless ). I'm all about mom and pop stores when traveling supporting the back bone of America. The places the locals go to eat. Buy local all the time. ( support the area while visiting the area) Puck the suggestion of pulling a trailer, was both for comfort and to not over pack your ride.
  21. Now figure a good day in the saddle, no highways, from Elizabeth NJ to woodbine Georgia in 22.48 hours, most if it in rain. Milage I didn't care, good ride yes and I was pulling my trailer ( did stop in Dismal swamp state park for 3 hours to nap, but got up and kept going. ( 366+566 )
  22. Even pulling a fully loaded trailer, I stop for gas at 230 miles instead of 141, legs hind behind the fairing, you can open the lowers while driving and keep your feet and legs dry while riding. No fog windshields, open vents. Phone charger, Nav system with weather alerts, heated seats and grips, reverse whe moving that large trailer. One dislike, the front tire is thinner and does not take to metal grade bridges ( it's always fun when your crossing a large bridge in the pouring rain with a trailer on with a SUV trying to drive over you) ( almost pushing down over the grade) He got his pay backs, can't drive with two flat tires.
  23. I got the 07 as well I had to use the choke most of the time to start being hot or cold I still had to use the choke
  24. Noop. 27k on mine, no issues, just tires and oil changes. I bought an extended service contract on the bike so I have 7 years of service
