  1. Just wondering if any of youse have done any trailer camping? Good and bad, what to stay away from. Also what mods have you done to your scoot?
  2. They would be the round chrome things on the outside of your handlebar grips.
  3. Sorry this happened to you. Glad you are ok and you wife wasn’t aboard. You might be sore for a couple days but it could have been terrible.
  4. It’s amazing how things go when you do it His way! Glad to see you all settled in a place of your own!
  5. Feeling your pain, brother. I had plans too for a ride up along Lake Michigan thru the UP but those got preempted. I’m thinking this is the year for spontaneous riding... you know, hey the sun came up today, let’s go on a ride
  6. Well, Flyin Fool, you could mosey up this way and build fire trucks! If you can read a tape measure you out qualify 90 percent of our new hires!
  7. Would you be having lutefisk with your lefse? I heard that these Minnesotan Yamaha scoots run better with a shot of lutefisk brine in the tank than even Seafoam. Plus it attracts Norwegian girls!!
  8. Turn that thing south!!! I think your compass must have the poles switched!! Or something It’s working too well here!!
  9. One thing I found is when you go to mount the stock trunk make sure the floor of the trunk isn’t cracked where the latch is mounted on the underside. If it’s cracked the latch can deflect while riding and come sliding forward during a hard stop. Ask me how I know this!
  10. We’re planning next summer’s trip out to Montana. See kids and grandbabies and hopefully Glacier.
  11. Don't buy from a a big box store! go to your local furniture store with your dad and get one that fits. Also most stores will offer a 90 day trial so if it doesn't work you can return it and get one that does.
  12. Your compression numbers aren't cause to worry at this stage. After you get it fired up and it has been run, you may want to run a leakdown test. :clap2:
  13. I try to always wave on two lane roads but on the freeway, not much. Growing up in the country, waving at everybody was the norm, whether you knew them or not!
  14. My RSV gets 45 on my commute and 40 riding two up on trips. So I think there may be room for improvement. For me driving faster than 60 mph starts drinking gas exponentially. But then you get to the ice cream store faster.
  15. Back in the olden days I had a '00 dodge grand caravan that developed a restriction in the brake lines for the front calipers. the brakes worked fine but the hoses between the line and the caliper restricted the flow back to the master cylinder and so the brakes wouldn't release. And it was on both fronts. I put new hoses on and problem solved! It was worse when hot. I cant 'splain it!
  16. That was my solution for a number of years! And I never had to take anything apart or even do much thinking!!!
  17. What are you going to do this month? After a month like that you KNOW you can handle anything! That’s a testimony to the faithfulness of God!!
  18. Anywhere you've listed is too fun to only do once!! So, my thought is to do it this year and next year and the next year... You get the idea.
  19. Amen to that and might I add that common homeowner herbicides are a reason to glove up and use the proper PPE. Roundup herbicide affects me, probably from too many years of farm use and a "How can this stuff hurt me mentality?"
  20. Gotta love the Wisconsin round-abouts...NOT!!!
  21. Puc, I’m praying for you and the family. Your little brother has received his ultimate healing. My condolences to you, your wife and your extended family as you work through this season of mourning.
  22. I knew I held on to those 8-tracks for a reason!!! Just imagine.. cruising along listening to Three Dog Night singing" Joy to the world". :Cartoon_397:
  23. That would be fun, Puc... don't know if i could catch on to the hotdog dance though. It could be a Michigan thing:cool10: Those times with the grandbabies on your lap are the best!!
  24. Two points of view here and they are contradicting, it doesn’t matter to God if you want to be cremated. When these bodies we live in now are raised to immortality, they won’t be made of dirt like they are now. So, go ahead and be cremated if you want. Direct cremation would be my choice since it is a lot cheaper!! On the other hand, I have a son and daughter-in-law who are funeral directors and what they see in their profession is that it helps the grieving process to be able to see the deceased and have closure. It helps some people move the death of a loved one from head knowledge to reality. So to sum up, if you want to help your loved ones through the mourning process, have a visitation especially if you are younger. After visitation get cremated if you wish, however at that point the financial advantage isn’t very much.
  25. From what I've read on this forum,Cowpuc, you TAUGHT Mickey that dance.
