  1. Could the deflectors have relaxed a bit during the time they have been ageing in your garage?
  2. Happy Birthday!🎈🎉
  3. Mine doesn’t stay out either, but it will stay running even with the choke not out all the way. After it warms up a bit make sure the “choke” is pushed in all the way. Mine will stay out just a bit.
  4. Don, we are praying for you here and expect a great outcome. We serve an Awesome God who cares about His kids!
  5. I have a brother half a mile from the tornado destruction that was so terrible, but he and his family had no damage and only lost power until last evening. God was protecting them!
  6. Wow! Who would have thought that could happen? Glad you still have a motor home and not a pile of ashes!
  7. Thank you all for the input! I had the missus on the back and she wasn’t a fan of mountain riding anyway! I did not tell her about the missing rear braking. When I got the brakes cooled they are back to the way they were and haven’t had any more problems. Will be changing the brake fluid when I get home!
  8. We were riding through the Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming today and when we were halfway down the rear brake decided that enough was enough and went away! I used front brake sparingly and a lower gear and made it safely to flat land! I have the organic brake pads on it, would semi- metallic have not faded?
  9. Exactly as described! The correct bolts came with mine and there are 2 holes there already! Easy-peasy😃
  10. Great looking bike. I recommend the Utopia backrest.
  11. I had the Pirelli tires on the bike when I bought it. They were fine and I had no problems with them although they did follow cracks in the road more than the Metzler I have now. I also thought they were not as good in the rain.
  12. Question; How long did it take for you to receive it after you ordered? I am wanting a windshield like yours for a trip at the end of August and I don’t want it delivered after I get home!
  13. Well, that just isn’t right, but I understand ! My plan is to get off the bike on my last ride and croak! I’ll be dead before I hit the ground….in twenty or thirty years!
  14. Wait! Hold the presses! Is it an anchor for holding wire for when farmers checked corn?
  15. Not a hay fork or a fence stretcher. Not big enough for hay and no racheting mechanism for fence stretching. Could be a hog hanger but they are generally butchered upside down. Seems a little small for ice blocks. So, with all this verbosity, I don’t know either!!!
  16. Happy Resurrection Day to all of youse!
  17. My employer has provided us each with a set of Craftsman tools complete with metric wrenches and nut drivers of common sizes. Trouble is, I have never touched half the wrenches in that tool cabinet. We use only SAE. My vote is to build your own set of what you use. It’s cheaper than buying a set you will only use half of, and you don’t have to drag the extra weight around.
  18. My wife wouldn’t ride with me until I got the ‘09 RSV. The ‘83 Venture just didn’t do it for her! Now she has bought in to riding and touring. I’m loving it!
  19. I use that line a lot... and it generally works!!
  20. Here’s my story, I received a call from Public health nursing saying I had a positive Covid test. Problem with that is that I hadn’t been tested! I had donated blood a week before and their (blood bank) random testing turned up antibodies in my sample. Blood bank contacted public health nursing. So I had to quarantine because I had it sometime in the past. They can’t seem to allow facts to get in the way of their “protocol “!
  21. I will be praying and am expecting a good report!
  22. Praying for you here. May blessings overtake you ! But the question remains... will you be operating the WWW during your convalescence?
  23. My 2009 RSV has a bit of a rumble but it isn’t loud by any means. My brother has a set of Bub’s on his 2006 RSTD and we make him ride in the back. He makes too much noise!
  24. I think I’m going to pull the trigger on a Lee-Sure Lite Excel camper we found. It weighs 265 pounds empty and set-up time is under a minute. I like the idea of not sleeping on the ground. We go wilderness camping in the BWCAW between Minnesota and Ontario so I know what roughing it is ... and I prefer not to be that rustic.
