Maybe we should forget about a contest and just enjoy pictures, video's and the like. Pictures are such fun and good memories of days gone by. A good way to pass the time away while it is

Great pictures Jay. Brought a smile to my face for sure.

Should have gone to Picture Forum. Sorry

Because it is so cold out I thought I would share some pics. Grand kids and pictures of trips when it was warmer. Maybe we should have a picture contest. Vote for the best picture of all. Maybe run it a week and see what we come up with. What ya think? I would not have a clue on how to do it but someone might. Maybe have a special place to post the pictures and then vote on them in that Forum. Anyway, here are some I had already picked out before the contest. Not saying I have any to win but just felt like sharing. I changed my mind on the contest. May we just enjoy the pictures and videos and smile a lot.

MapSource is still supported. That is all I use. BaseCamp and the Zumo 660 really don't like each other much. Couple years ago I called Garmin support and was told after repeated problems; with routes made with BaseCamp my Zumo would start out ok but then tell me to recaluate and then it would say it couldn't because there were no roads in the area, that I had to use MapSource. I was just getting use to BaseCamp and liking it but would not work. Might try it again for a short route around home to see if they got the bugs out.

I just found out today and I am installing it right now. New Maps 2017.10 for North America. I have a Zumo 660 I had just checked yesterday running MapSource and it did not show update nor again today when I tried. I ran Garmin Express and it found the update right away and said it would take two hours to download. The rate it is going, may take 1 1/2 hrs. to complete. Just thought I would share on a very cold day here in Lake Orion Michigan.

We know that the laws in every State may very in a lot of things from speed limits to carrying, to taxes, and on and on and on and Insurance. Just think Puc. I would not have been covered last year when I came to visit you if, I would have crashed when my tire on the ST gave out. The best insurance I had that day was from above and not below. If ya no what I mean.

Hey, I know some of those "Hot Dogs" in the pictures. Puk, I sure hope I can make at least one of those meetings this year.

OK, this is what I just received from my Allstate Insurance agent. I am covered under this policy but was not under Progressive because they failed to tell me I needed it. Again, if you have questions, call your agent. This was my coverage that was set up by an agent that sells different insurance and only sells Progressive for Motorcycles. Remember the reason I left Progressive was because of the cost, not because they did anything wrong. Better to know ahead of time if you have what you think you have. AGENT: Medicare does not pay primary on medical bills from vehicle accidents (car or motorcycle) and will only pay supplemental if you have primary medical coverage through your motorcycle policy or through another health care carrier that specifically has medical coverage for injuries from motorcycle accidents in the policy. We have had policyholders who did not have this specific coverage in the plans purchased through Obamacare or received through their employer, but did not become aware of this until after they were injured. The Medical payments option you have chosen on your motorcycle policy provides protection for reasonable and necessary medical expenses or funeral expenses incurred as a result of bodily injury sustained by you or anyone on your motorcycle in a covered accident up to your chosen amount of $50,000. The Collision and Comprehensive coverage pays for the damage on your bike. Collision pays for damage to your bike if you collide with another vehicle or something else such as a parked vehicle, construction debris, guardrails or fence, also if someone hits your parked motorcycle. Comprehensive pays for damage or loss to your motorcycle caused by something other than a collision; including theft, fire, vandalism, windstorm or hitting an animal. I hope this addresses your concerns, but please let me know if you have more questions. I'm back in the office today and I may leave early to crawl back into bed and recover.

Good news for sure. Just don't slip and fall in the snow and not gonna say it.

Thanks Dave for sharing. I know I am covered with what I have now for sure. Still waiting for response back from insurance today. Just don't want others to think they are insured and are not like I was told I wasn't and then maybe I was.

My agent was out of the office yesterday sick. Suppose to get back with me on Medicare coverage in the Great Lakes State. It is only 9 deg. this morning and has been snowing the last two days. Can't believe I road a week ago at 53 deg. I shall post when I get more info. Hopefully something we can all understand.

This is why understanding insurance is so hard for us folks. Thanks for your input Bill. Three out of four insurance agents told me the info I gave about not being covered in non related accident with another vehicle while having MEDICARE insurance. I called my new insurance today and asked the same question. Will I be covered if I hit a deer, or run off the road with Medicare insurance under comprehensive only with his insurance. "His" understanding is "NO" I read him your statement word for word and he is going to contact his underwriter and get back with me. I can call it quits if you all would prefer and drop this discussion about insurance. I just wanted to make folks aware of what I was told. I have said, "don't trust me" call your insurance. It seems they all do not agree. Go figure. If my insurance agent gets back with me and has info. regarding Medicare. Then I will share one more time. Then call it quits with what ever he says. It's really snowing here in my part of Michigan. T'is the season.

Dano, You really don't have a choice. It is my understanding you must go on Medicare when you turn 65. You don't have a choice if you want insurance. I did not choose it to save money. It chose me to pay money. All this info is to do some homework ahead of time. All it takes is a phone call into your insurance agent and get educated. Again I say. Don't trust me, and don't trust your insurance to do the work for you. Mine did not tell me two years ago. I found out really by accident with another agent.
-
But........ Dano, did you haveMedicare? This is what they told me. When you have Medicare they will not cover accidents.
