Passing Lamp installation HELP!

Well Jack, I don't think they changed a thing on the Venture or you would have had a choice on what year you were ording the passing lamp bar for. Chances are they gave you the wrong bar. See if you can find the number on the one they sent you. I will go and see if I can find the right number that you should have gotten. I assume you ordered the Yamaha brand? -
If I have to remove my finger for that reason. I will put it in a pickel jar and charge the grandkids to see it every time they come over. Or, I could mount it and have a caption that says "Thats my middle finger"

Well I just got back from the Dr. and it is the sleeve that surrounds the tendon. It has clamped around the tendon like Chinese Hand cuffs. I have to go back on Tuesday to get a cortisone shot. He couldn't give me one today because the insurance wouldn't cover it today but on Tuesday they will. Go figure that one. Anyway if two shots won't fix it, I will have to have surgery. Trigger finger, also known as dry tendon.

Well I go to the doctor today and get my finger checked out. It is called a trigger finger. It will snap down on the palm of my hand and then I have to grab it and pull it back up. It is all swollen right now. It might not work to good come riding season so I figured I better get it fixed now while it's cold out. Has anyone ever had this problem? Buy the way of all fingers, it is the middle one.

Our stock grips measure 1.400 so that means you order the small size which I just did. Thanks for the info. I wanted something bigger also but did not know what to do. I will give these a try.

I have the 450 also. Make sure you set it like you want it. You can have "no U turns" "No gravel roads" if you want to. You will also have to learn how to read it while your on the road. You can't get lost. It is a great feature for the bike.

Why did ya go and do all that for? Nothing else going on in o'l Pontiac. I went to Northern back in 1967 Lee. Did you graduate from Central or Pontiac? I hope you are doing much better now.

Over the Christmas break I will be starting up the wood stove in the garage and changing the coolant in my 2nd gen. Venture. I have not done this service before. I guess I will follow the service manuals guide lines.Is there anything to watch out for or should do or not do? I will also change the plugs which I have done before. I am close to 40,000 miles on the bike. I did the splines this past summer when I changed the rear tire. Any in put?

I am an X smoker and I have never heard anyone that has quit say "I wish I had never quit" keep it going and don't give up. You won't be sorry unless you go back.

I forgot about your 4 wheeler frogman. Gloves will seldom keep you warm because the fingers are separated. Try mittens that you can buy at an Military Surplus Store. They are Air Force cold weather mittens. You will not get cold with these.

I have one close to this. They are called mufflers. My hands have never gotten cold with this type of unit. When it is time to shoot the big one you don't have to worry about your gloves. According to my GPS the mileage and the speed is off. My bike reads 6 mph faster than the GPS says I am going. The mileage is always greater on the bike than on the GPS. When I put the GPS in my truck everything is right on.

Last night on the way home from work I honked my horn on my Venture at a dog that I was coming up on. The horn was so frail in sound that when I got home I pulled into the garage and took a look at the what was going on. The right side horn did not work period. The left horn made a small toot, toot sound. I took off the right side and cleaned up the contacts but still made no sound. There is a little screw on the back side of the horn that looks like it has tar on it. I turned it counter clock wise 1/2 turn and now it sounds like a regular car horn. It was pretty loud and sounds real good.

Does anyone know what sight to go to for Avon Venom Tires. My brother in-law wants to know what size tire does Avon recommend for his Harley FLHTC 2000. I came up with MT90B16 74H for the front and rear, but I want to be sure. Thanks
