WELL POOH, I MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE. I KNOW LAST YEAR THEY HAD THE BED BUG PROBLEM AND CANCELLED SOME RESERVATIONS. AT LEAST I THINK IT WAS THAT. I FIGURED THEY HAD IT ALL CLEANED UP AND WOULD GIVE IT A TRY. WHERE ARE MOST OF YA STAYING?

I just made reservations at The Oberlin Inn for Friday Night. I figured I would try them again. I liked the over hang for parking the bikes. The price is $89.95 for the Venturerider group. I would take them back or call and let them know about the cracks. That should not be. Mine have been on my bike for about two years and I have none of that. Bummer.

Just a thought. You might have to split the fairing and look for a plug or wire that has come loose. I had mic-mutes for a couple of years but started having problems and took it off and I don't have any more problems. Good luck. :snow2::snow2::snow2:

I haven't had a chance to try it out because I live in Michigan and it keeps I won't find out till spring time or some nicer weather comes around. I just don't think my bike would look good with a vent. Just my preference on looks. Nothing wrong with those that have them, just me wanting the older traditional look.

I hope this helps anyone getting ready to order a windshield. This is just info. I ordered an F4 17 1/2 extra wide "no vent" last week and it came last week. Fast shipping:cool10: A mistake was made and they sent me a windshield with a vent hole but no vent. I called and they said they will ship me another one and they would pay for shipping both ways. So far so good. I got my windshield yesterday with in three days and installed it today. Now comes the info for those looking for a new shield. I had ordered 3 years ago a Wide Yamaha shield. It was too tall for me so I cut it down to 17". The measurement was from right behind the gas cap straight up to the top of the windshield. I could see over the windshield with about 3" to spare. I liked it. I am 5'10 1/2" If you look at Yamaha's windshields in their book, you will notice they have a black haze at the bottom. That is there for a reason. I know this because. The F4 that I installed today doesn't have that feature. With out it you can see down behind the windshield and see stuff you ought not to see even with the chrome piece installed. I took the chrome back off a took a black magic marker "for now" and colored the bottom and it helped. Come spring, I will mask and paint it or what ever? Also the 17 1/2 shield now measures 22" high form behind the gas cap to top of windshield. It is also 1 1/4 wider each side than Yamaha's extra wide shield. This may not be the so called "right way" to measure but, it will let you know how I measured mine and I was happy with the 17". I will have to wait until the weather breaks here in Michigan before I will know if I like it or not. I already miss the black haze at the bottom and I can always cut the shield down if I don't like looking through it. Just food for thought.

Dear Jerry, I have never met you that I know of. I may like you if I did. You are talking about a man that I respect and I have met and goes out of his way to make all people feel welcome on this web sight and at his home. Most people would do anything for Don and his family. I know you can't please all the people all of the time. This web sight is not meant for all people. If you want trash talking, or X rated pictures you won't find it here and that is why most of us are members. There is enough stress in life and it should not be stressful for Don or anybody else to come to this sight. Although the stress is there for Don I am sure because of comments made toward him. I am sorry for Don to hear what you have said, but it comes with the business of dealing with people. You stated you are waiting for your membership to run out so you can go. My first thought is why wait? If you are unhappy just go. I would even send you your remaining money left on your membership. But, my second thought is, we all run into hard times, sad times, and say and do things we ought not too. I would rather have the out come be a good one for you and this web sight. I would ask that you reconsider your feelings and realize what this sight is intended for and apologize to Don. Just my thoughts. Thanks Don for all you do. Everyone, have a great day if you want to. It looks as though you had a bigger show then we did in Novi MI this past week-end. It took less than an hour to see everything. We did get to see Jason do his stunts on his Kawasaki. The guy is good. All in all, I was disappointed with the show. Not many vendors. Just my opinion.
