    Jury Duty

I was called in for jury selection. I never was picked so I didn't have to serve but I stayed for the court action. It had to do with self defence. Who was right and who was wrong. They will finish up on Monday. I met a man from Royal Oak Mi. and some how we got to talking about motorcycles. Imagen that. :whistling:Anyway he rides a 07 Venture. I told him about this sight and said he would check it out. He will probably check in as DD. Keep an eye out for him Don. His name is Don also. Nice guy and does alot of riding. Everyone have agreat weekend if ya want to. Suppose to rain for us, so won't be doing to much riding.
  2. I always take a paper towel and soak up the rest of the fluid in the bottom of the reservoir and wipe the walls and sight window clean of any residue. So the answer is yes you can clean the sight glass.
  3. Wow Larry, At least you were in your car and not the bike or Joyce's Mustang. Hope all turns out well with insurance and soreness. Take care.
  4. I started wearing hearing aids just over a year ago Fuzzy. It took me over a month to pick the ones I thought were good for me. There are many to choose from that will do or not do certain things. I settled for the programmable ones that they hook up to a PC and give you a hearing test with them in your ear. Mine have 4 different settings. I can reach up and change by pushing a little button. You will need that option to stop the back ground noise if you are in a crowded room. Most places that sell aids will let you take a pair and try them for 5 days. Take them back and try a different type. I did this four or five times. Mine are the ReSound brand. By the way, I take them out when I ride:whistling:
  5. Hello Bill, If I am wrong on my thoughts please clarify your comment. Unless I misunderstood you in your comment above. You don't care to see the word prayer? If this is the case, don't hit on Inspirational, Motivational, PRAYER REQUEST, Ect. Just pass it by Bill and it will be ok. Have a great day if you want to.
  6. Welcome to the world of the "Ventureriders" Brenda. Thanks for all the great comments about this sight. It makes us all feel good. Thanks to Freebird and everyone who makes it what it is.
  7. Thanks for the smile and the shaking of my head at you Boomer:)
  8. I hope all is well and good news will flow by the end of this day. Prayer has been asked for Ponch and family.
  9. Maybe ya have seen it and maybe not. http://www.youtube.com/user/vystrcil?v=pJxOsYh12yY&feature=pyv&ad=9710386
  10. Gary, It was good for you to be there and give your dad his last shave. Take care and enjoy the memories.
  11. GREAT DAYS IN THE MORNING! LET THE BAG PIPES PLAY.
  12. HUGS to the both of ya. Will miss ya's.
  13. I had a problem with my 04 and I got a wire and took off the lens cover and touched the outside socket area and then grounded the other end to a bolt on the bike. If it is a ground problem this will tell you that right away because the bulb will start working. I have a extra ground wire on my back right hand side. Hope this helps.
  14. Most of the time it is because of low air pressure.
  15. I was going to ride to work this morning but only 36 deg. and a chance of rain. It has been a cold and rainy spring around here. The days have been spotty for riding but I have been. Thanks for the reply.
  16. Well, here is the latest on the rear shock from Gabriel. Well, the bad news is that the higher ups cannot make a business case to produce this. Not that there isn’t a huge profit margin to be had but because it is so drastically different than any of our other products that the tooling costs cannot be recovered. Now, on the other hand, I do have the resources here to basically work with you to see if we cannot improve what you have. Let me know the next time you are in the vicinity with the cut-away shock that you had before. I have a guy that we need to discuss this with. We make TAPs (Take-A-Parts) with screw collars that you make for us occasionally. Why couldn’t we turn this into a TAP? Why couldn’t you start doing this as a service to the Yamaha world? As a TAP, we could basically replace the wear components. That was their email to me. I really don't want to get into the shock business so I guess this has come to an end for me.
  17. I will take (2) 5 3/4. Thanks
  18. He is a fallen solider saddlebum. He is coming home to be buried. He is not alive.
  19. Just seeing the words "A fallen soldier comes home" made my heart sink. 42 years is along time for the family to endure. The hurt and tears will be much to bare I am sure.
  20. I have my second set of Avons on and no problems at all. I will replace with same again when the time comes.
  21. Hi Ken, The wife and I crossed over a couple of years ago but we were by our selfs on a bike. I would suggest you go up to the gate one at a time. I know we have some guys that travel together all the time and cross over. Maybe Ian or Randy will give some advice. It may not matter but those guys can be stinkers if they want to. Make sure you have your passports.
  22. It takes two and the two of you have done good. Congratulations.
  23. This is just a bad dream Gunk. Your going to wake up in the morning and it will be gone. Go to sleep now. Why don't you run an add and when they reply and you tell them the tenants are moving out June 1st and it won't be ready for another week after that. Maybe they will want it and may say, we will take it as is. Ya never no. We will miss you guys.
