  1. Here's how I replaced mine. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=79330
  2. That's a nice looking trike. If it wasn't so far from Arkansas I would be very tempted, especially since the wife would like to have one.
  3. I found out it's not the same as the Rivco adapter. The Rivco has a metric thread for the filter (20 mm x 1.5 thread) whereas the one here uses a 13/16-16 threaded filter.
  4. Is this the same as the Rivco adapter?

    Why?

I had teacher in school that for his final exam he gave us a sheet with 25 questions. At the top in big bold letters it said to read all the questions before answering any. The last one said to not answer any of the others except this one. The question was "why?" No one got it right. Everyone wrote an essay on it. What he wanted for an answer was "because". Nothing else. Therefore the answer has to be "because".
  6. We are supposed to be in the 60's with rain. Finally a weekend that's not cold, windy and sleeting.
  7. I didn't see a video from the link.

  9. Thanks. We are looking forward to using it. Now that winter is setting in it will be spring before we go anywhere with it. That will give me time to get the lid latches installed, the inside carpeted and some tie downs installed.
  10. I found a speaker that is the same diameter and about the same thickness. It is only good for 0.5 watt but the headsets shouldn't see this much and the original speakers are marked .5 watt. http://www.ebay.com/itm/151120234641...#ht_2124wt_922 Received the speaker and installed it today. It is a perfect fit. The sound is better than the original speakers and louder. I have ordered more for spares to replace the other speaker and have a pair for when a speaker goes out in my wife’s headset.
  11. Thanks. No, a guy at a local body shop did it on the side. He made $75 off it. It is a mini coffin made from welded up aluminum with a steel angle frame and boat trailer spindles and tires.
  12. Finally got my trailer painted just in time for winter. I think I got the seasons mixed up.
  13. Received the speaker and installed it today. It is a perfect fit. The sound is better than the orignal speakers and louder. I will have to order more for spares to replace the other speaker and have a pair for when a speaker goes out in my wifes headset.
  14. I found a speaker that is the same diameter and about the same thickness. It is only good for 0.5 watt but the headsets shouldn't see this much. I will report how it works. http://www.ebay.com/itm/151120234641?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649#ht_2124wt_922
  15. I discovered it is actually in the helmet. The right speaker is bad (very, very weak). I hooked up my wife"s helmet with my cables and both speakers work good. I remembered my full face helmet with the same Chatterbox setup and hooked it up. It works good too. So much time wasted thinking it was in the bike wiring. Now to find a replacement speaker.
  16. Thanks. I wasn't looking for an exact match, just something close for the trailer.
  17. Do you have the mix or the Toyota color? I am trying to paint my trailer to match as close as possible to the Graceful Maroon.
  18. Thry this one. They have a lot of different ones. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0xAu00T58A&feature=player_embedded
  19. The right speaker in my Chatterbox DNR headset has gotten to the point you can't hear it most of the time. When you can it is very weak compared to the left speaker. Basically you have to have the bike off to hear it. I plugged my wife's helmet set into the drivers plug and both of them in hers work good (I used my cord sets to make sure it wasn't them) so I know it's either the speaker or the wire from the speaker to the helmet mount. Does anyone know what would be a good speaker to replace the existing one with? I emailed Chatterbox and they haven't replied in over a week.
  20. My son had a 16 ft utility trailer in Nevada. When he moved back to Arkansas he had lost the Nevada title. Instead of applying and waiting a month to get a duplicate, I just went to the Arkansas DMV told them it was home made and they issued a VIN number and a tag. I just stamped the number in the frame. The original VIN tag had worn so bad the numbers were gone (it was aluminum and place where you would step every time you stepped onto the tongue). And the tag is permanent so don't have to re-register every 2 years. I just bought a home made trailer (that had never been registered as it was in Oklahoma) to pull behind my Venture Royale. I will see if it is as simple now as it was 5 years ago.
  21. I removed the stock mirrors because they wouldn't stay adjusted. I replaced the with EMGO 20-42460 mirrors. The hardest part was getting the screws out that hold the stock mirror heads out. Attached are pictures of the mod. The tap is a 10mm-1.25 thread from Pep Boys.
  22. Mine works when plugged into the passenger plug, just not the drivers plug. I wouldn't think it was inside the headset if it worked when plugged in one place and just not the other. My wifes helmet has the same setup and hers does the same (works on passenger plug but not on drivers).
  23. When I plug my chatterbox headset into the drivers connector next to the false tank, I have no right side audio in the headset. However, if I plug into the passenger connector at the trunk I have audio in both left and right side. When on speakers I have both sides audio through the speakers. Any clues? Thanks.
  24. Oklahoma Tourism site-Travelok has some free brochures with great rides to see many things in the state. The website is: http://www.travelok.com/motorcycling I have been going through these lately and planning the spring and early summer (before it gets 98 degrees and 98% humidity) rides for myself and my wife.
