Please Read: 3 Weeks Left For Calendar Orders
Mariner Fan replied to Bvinson's topic in Watering Hole
Just ordered one Bvinson. Thanks! -
This is interesting. I've always wondered what other time shares do. Ours has a point system so we choose which resort to use. My wife is really into this stuff and purchased enough points for us to use any resort for 10 days a year. Then she decided to buy into perpetuity so that we can give it to the kids when we croak. Of course, the time share company (Vacations International) could go belly up and then were out of luck. So far so good. It's nice to have a place to go to that's nice without surprises.

I mounted my pegs last Saturday. Had to rotate the clamp so that it doesn't hit the faring (duh). It's really nice to have an extra place to put your feet. I'm kinda long in the legs, so I think I'll look into the Longhorn Offset Dually Highway Pegs. I also see what you mean about the crash bars being flimsy. I'll definitely build a brace.

I hit that dang kill switch all the time. Lucky for me I've managed to figure it out without too much trouble.

Any of you Indiana riders get out yesterday?
Mariner Fan replied to Mariner Fan's topic in Watering Hole
Yea, it's the pits to hear of all the fun the Southern folks are having this winter! For some reason, I'm feeling even more depressed with the weather after I got to ride on Saturday. Looks like cold and snow for awhile. -
Well I saddled up to the television to root for Seattle and Indianapolis...... Now I can't wait for spring training to start!

That would be a bear to turn around!

Jack in the Box.....remember when they had the big E-Coli incident and no one would go there? I actually did, figuring that they were the only fast food joint that learned their lesson. Still visit every time I'm in the Northwest. They don't have them here.

I'm looking out the window at the snow falling and am happy as heck that I got out on my bike yesterday. Weather was clear and in the high 40's. Here in the Mid-West, the weather can and will change overnight so when these opportunities come up I take full advantage of it.

Note to self.....go on a meet and eat with these guys!

So which magazine is closest to the demographics of a Venture rider? Roadrunner? I picked up the issue of baggers as well and it was ok. Kinda geared towards customs but was fun to read.

Ah the old 8 track. Had one in my first car. Had to put a match book under to tape to make it play right. Fixed the 8 track tape with scotch tape when it broke. This was in the mid 70's. The cool tape players were made by Craig. -
Dang, you really banged that bike up! Glad you both are ok.

Don, I have a hard time navigating the Kuryakyn site. The clamps on yours look different than mine (quickclamp?). I trial mounted a set with a clamshell clamp and it looks like the bolt hits the lower fairing when positioned forward. I'm a noob with highway pegs and any insight you have would be appreciated. Bob

I used to take Meletonin when I worked nights and I slept great. Trouble with that stuff is I felt like I had a hangover when I woke up.
-
Wow! Glad they are ok.

A perfect likeness! Bob (hook line and sinker)

We have our 23 year old son over from Washington State. Great seeing him even if he sleeps in till 2:00 every day. Dang kids...... As for me; my wonderful wife bought me a new pair of cowboy boots.

Dang, poor timing for me. I started the bike last Saturday and it was sputtering during idle. Well, I just had the 600 mile service done, and I decided to take it back to the shop so that they couldn't accuse me of storing it improperly. So the bike is in the shop and the weather here in Indy was very nice on Christmas. Wish I would have held off a couple of days so I could have ridden.

Looks very interesting. I'm getting close to a new phone upgrade so I'll consider it.
-
My wife and I do the same thing. We have our kids coming over this year so we went ahead and bought each other a present so we will have something to open for Christmas. The hot tub idea is a good one!

I'm hoping for a little window of opportunity to at least take the bike out around town.
