I got a buddy with a Suzuki M109. His tranny just took a dump and now he has to put out big bucks to fix it. I still have a year and a half of warranty on my bike. Can't beat that!!!

I don't know what part of Indy that you live in, but I use Westfield Yamaha. I've been very happy with them.

They are too far away for me to use them. Sideoftheroad had a maintenance agreement with them so you should send him a message and ask.

Next time I'm in Westfield Yamaha I'll ask them about that. Get to test ride a bike and get free sunglasses as well. Can't beat that.

Thank you Don and Eileen for opening up your home for us. I think these Maintenance days are getting better every year! Thanks Brad for syncing my carbs. Always great seeing you and Lonna. And thanks to Kent for adjusting my steering head bearings. I learned alot just hanging out and observing while all the maintenance was being done. I'll see you all next year! Bob

I have a scorpion half helmet that I wear most of the time. It's like putting on a ball cap so I don't have much excuse for not wearing it. I also use a 3/4 helmet when I need to use the intercom - CB. There are times that I go without a lid, but not too often.

Hey Mike, I was in your neck of the woods last week. Got to go to a Mariners game and they even won! Weather was great in Seattle. You could see Mt. Rainer for three days straight. Yea, I'd like too see the write up and pics from your trip! Bob

I just rode a Road Glide Ultra today. Didn't like the handlebar position and the heal/toe shifter was too small for my big feet but it was a pretty nice bike all in all.

If your asking me Don, yes I pulled the caliper and took the pads out for inspection. Both pads were the same thickness and had plenty of material left. I just cleaned/lubed everything back up and re-installed. I've heard that brakes are a bit like tires in that they tend to wear faster when they are towards the end of their life. I'll pull them again this winter.

I must be doing something wrong. Checked the front and back brakes the other day and they still look practically new. I was so sure that they would be worn out that I bought a complete new set before I even looked at them. Got 24,000 miles on the bike right now.

I'm going to just miss you. I'll be in Seattle on the 19th to catch a Mariners game. I will actually be in the Northwest from the 13th to the 20th. Heading down to Eugene from Seattle then back.

Trunk Box will not open

A buddy of mine didn't know about the catch that holds the trunk lid up and forced the lid down. It ended up bending the mechanism and afterword I noticed that the lid didn't want to open all the way. So, I ended up forcing it back up and all is well.
