  1. Sounds like a lot of work. My back is hurting just thinking of it!
  2. Good story Eck! I've heard of Moose doing that and they really mess a car up when they are mad. The only thing that has attacked my car was an owl. I was driving down the road and it took a bead on me and slammed into the side of my truck. Don't know what the heck it was thinking. Tessa, glad you were able to get the bike stopped in time.

  4. That's the direction I'm going. Check this out. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=21770
  5. I'm not up on biker gangs. I can see on the video that one of the guys had Black Piston colors. Are they part of the Outlaw's?
  6. Always a good thing to have close by.
  7. No kidding, Somehow I don't think ticking those guys off is a good thing. No matter how careful you are, you can't avoid something like that. I'm sorry to hear that one of the guys lost a leg.
  8. Just think of all the Safety Chrome you can buy with your "guaranteed" winnings!
  9. Yea, I guess they were heading for a funeral when the car hit them. The driver of the car said he had a seizure. http://www.local6.com/traffic/16737368/detail.html
  10. Kinda sad. These guys were really lucky. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxOgvu3qVs8]YouTube - Wrong-Way Driver Crashes Into 9 Motorcycles[/ame]
  11. Great job keeping the bike up after that. Man, I hate deer. Seems like they get on a death vendetta sometimes. Glad you both are ok! Looking forward to hearing how the bike fared.
  12. I'm 6'2" and can see easily over the stock windshield. I got a chance to check out RoadKill's windshield and that made the XXL an easy decision for me.
  13. What kind of weather was it Randy? Got a link?
  14. I just ordered an XXL tinted with vent. Looked at the blem list but without seeing the damage, I couldn't take the plunge. Now I have to wait 4 to 6 weeks to get mine. Looking good Tom.
  15. Ruth and I had a real nice time on the ride. The 58 cafe was nice and quaint. You don't lack for enough food to eat there! Nice meeting you Dan, hope you can ride with us again. Bronson, hope you didn't spend too much money in Nashville! On the way home, I dropped Ruth off to pick up her car. She left it at the shop to have a warranty job done. I think one of the salesmen got a hold of her because next thing I know she comes home telling us (Kevin and Sue were at my house) that she is trading the car in!
  16. Be careful over there Clayton.
  17. Kevin, My venture had a leak as well. Mine was leaking oil and the trouble was the valve covers were not tightened down. Seems the shop found a lot of loose bolts when they did the 600 mile service. Bob
  18. Wow, that is one tragic story. Brad is going to need counseling after that. My thoughts and prayers for all of you.
  19. Sorry to hear about that Condor, When I lived in Eastern Washington, we had to deal with that every summer. Hope Idaho doesn't have any fires going as well.
  20. You got the Nomad plus 50% of your asking price for the Venture? Seems like a good deal to me. Do you still have your 01 Venture?

    New Bike

Your buying the bike from your dad, right? It's a bit different from your Road Star. For long distance riding; it can't be beat. I'm pretty tall and this is the first bike that didn't feel cramped to me. I really like the stereo and the cruise control. The motor likes to be run in the higher RPM range. I can't think of a bike that I would rather have than the Venture. Hope that helps. Bob
  22. We all love our bikes as well. Course we also love to complain about every perceived problem. I know a lot of Harley riders that do the same thing.
  23. Wimmins confuse me!
  24. One thing a lot of people forget is that you are in charge of what you buy. If a dealer plays hard ball with you then you should walk. Too bad for them if they don't want to make a deal.
  25. I had to ride to Anderson to get a new blade for my lawn edger. Good thing I had my scoot with the good gas mileage.
