Leveling link question
Mariner Fan replied to hillrider's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
On my bike the old links were black. The new ones are silver colored. Other than that, the only way to tell is to measure them. -
I've seen other video's of the Raptor's maneuverability. It's truly outstanding. I doubt anything can compete with this plane.

It's in the low 30's here. I rode around town just to change the gas in the carbs. Still hoping the weather will warm up tomorrow.

Geez, Lynn, I hope my nice window of opportunity is not ruined by rain!
-
For sure and maybe a case of frostbite as well!

Man, I would love to spend my Winters in Arizona!

In Indiana........ Looks like we will have an opportunity to ride due to one day of warm weather. Man, I'm hoping that this is true. I'm not sure where I'll go, but I might just point the bike somewhere and see where it takes me. As I write this it's about 18 degrees but Sunday will be almost 50 degrees...hopefully...

Maybe the good thing about the Voyager is that Yamaha will feel compelled to upgrade the Venture.

Looks like fun Gary, Where in Mexico did you go?

Brad, I really believe that they will get a bail out. If they don't me and Ruth will join you on the migration West....

I was thinking the same thing. Best to protect yourself when in the wild.

Man, that's bad news Brad. Hope you get a good price for your bike . It's a nice one for sure! I'll put the word out and see if anyone would be interested. Bob

Yea, he asked about the radio control unit on the left side. I'm guessing that it interfered with the mounting. Funny thing is I asked them about it this fall. There was not a list for a Second Gen Venture so I wrote and asked about it. They asked about the radio control and asked for pictures which I provided. That's probably why they list the bike as a "Midnight Venture". My guess is they must have figured out how to mount one after my correspondence with them.

Something for Thanksgiving fun............

Got 10. I was guessing on most of the questions. -
If I told you I try to observe the speed limit I'll probably get called out by a few guys here in VentureRiders that have ridden with me. I got a ticket last summer and was picked out of the group who were all going the same speed. Had it coming since I was speeding and paid the ticket without complaint. That said, I'm aware that the cops can pick out motorcycles for speeding tickets and have adjusted my habits accordingly.

Bad news on these. I wrote the folks that make them and was told they will not fit on the second gen Ventures.

Good one!

We are already feeling the effects. Just had to lay off most of our production work force. Now we are on a skeleton crew with Supervisors and Managers producing only 3 days a week. We hope to hang on until things get better but it doesn't look good. We sell magnesium to the automotive die casters.

Oh, now I see it! Cool dog.

Man, my eyes are bad. It looks like a bald gorilla sticking his tongue out....

I can't comment on GM's woes. Seems they have always been very "top heavy". Lots of finger pointing going on about Unions and such. It's probably a combination of many factors that put them in this situation. One of the things that a lot of folks don't think about is all the companies that supply the auto industry. The cascade effect of GM's demise will cause these companies to go down as well. I know, because I work for one of them. We aren't big, and our costs are low. If they don't build cars here then the pain will be felt by a huge amount of the "little guys".

The saddlebags are definitely not Yamaha. If I were the owner of that house, I'd be ticked off having that cop drive on my yard.

Speaking of deer hunting...... I'm from Washington State, so imagine my surprise when I went over to Virginia to visit my sister and saw hunting dogs running all over the place, including along the freeway! She said that it's common to deer hunt with dogs in Virginia.

I got this notice just this morning at work. Since I didn't send anything out recently, I knew it must be spam and I didn't open it.
