Well, I took the bike out for the first time this year. The weather was good so I was able to get a couple of hundred miles in. The seat felt different for sure. Funny thing was that I didn't even think about squirming around trying to find a comfortable spot. Well done Rick!

Don, I'm getting jerked around at work as well. Like you, I'm just glad to still be employed. Geez, things are tough now.....

60's here as well. I just woke up since I'm working graveyard shift. I'm tempted to go for a ride but I think I'll risk it and wait until tomorrow.

Dan, sorry to hear about job situation. I hope things pick up for you soon. This really sucks.....

Man, that was a big one! The gas must have been leaking all night. And I think your right about the person that "disappeared". Pretty gruesome.

I've wondered that as well. Seems like they should be able to get this right. Now that I have a GPS, I don't even look at the bike speedometer anymore.

I hear you Buddy. I do that all the time. A. Not listening to my wife. (Ruth will confirm this) B. Ignoring aches and pains until they are serious.

Snow in Georgia? That's just wrong man!

Kevin, I'm thinking that you are talking about your wireless system, not sure though. If so, it's easy to set it up with a password to keep others out. -

So how well do cowboy boots work with 2nd Gen Controls?
Mariner Fan replied to GG54172's topic in Riding Gear
Dude, check out Mulehide boots. I have a pair that are 20 years old and are still nice. I bought another pair that hasn't been broken in yet. Takes awhile. -

I have three pairs of Justin cowboy boots. I don't wear them when I ride because the leather soles are slippery plus cowboy boots have a tall heal. I'm really interested in some cop boots. I was an EMT for ten years in Deer Park Washington and Rocky boots were the bomb. So, what to the Medical / Police use these days? Yea, I still get the Galls catalog. -
Guess I'm not in the loop on this one.

Sweet bike, sorry that you have to sell it. I understand though, since I did the same thing when my son was born back in 1983.

Nice! Looking forward to seeing the change.

That would be really nice. So I figure that it will not be compatible. I'm sure GM has their own plug setup that can't transfer to anything else. Unless maybe your looking at a Delphi XM unit. That might work.

Yea, it would be really nice to take a ride right now....

My favorite bike is my Venture. It suits me very well. When I was young, I rode a 1978 Suzuki GS1000. That was a pretty good bike as well.
-
Kevin, I got over 9000 miles on my tires and I don't hear the noise. I'll have you take a ride on my bike to see if you can hear it. Bob

When I was in high school, I saved up and got a Husqvarna dirt bike. I took it to the local Dairy Freeze where all the girls could see my new prize. Everyone was very impressed with my new steed. I decided to pop a wheelie to impress the girls. I popped a wheelie alright; I slid off the seat and was chasing the bike still holding on to the throttle. I couldn't keep up with the bike and finally had to let go and watch it crash on to the parking lot. Yea, I was pretty embarrised.

I checked mine the last time I was into the fairing. The bolts were tight, but it couldn't hurt to put a little lock tite on them to be safe.
-
Cougar, Did you put Lock-Tite on the windshield bolts?
