    I've seen new 08 Ventures for that price. Since they are the same bike except the color, I'd buy an 08. A local Yamaha shop here has one in the $14,000 range. Glad to see someone still can buy bikes.

    Man, I was that close to getting a new rear Elite 3 when I found out that Westfield Yamaha was having a sale. My back tire (404) still looks good so I decided to wait. Thanks for the review Jerry. I'll consider that when I finally plunk down some money for a new rear tire.

    I decided to take the bike to work tonight. Weird thing happened. The starter turned the engine over just fine but it would not fire. Choke in, choke out it didn't matter. Finally, I shut off the ignition then turned it back on and tried it. Now it started right up and has started just fine three more times. Should I be concerned? Perhaps, the ignition switch is going bad? The bike is fairly new (07) with only 9,000 miles.

    Greg, Roadkill and buddy traded bikes. They met each other on Saturday to make the trade.

    Mine happened when I was in High School. I bought a Husqvarna 250 dirt bike. I was really proud of the bike so I took over to the local Dairy Queen where all us kids used to hang out. I decided to pop a wheelie to show off and I slid off the seat. I was still holding on to the throttle and chasing the bike that was going faster and faster. I finally had to let go and watch the bike crash. Yea, my friends were impressed.

    I saw rain all day. We did have a chance to ride yesterday. Felt good!

    Don, the only GPS unit I own is the Zumo. I'm really impressed with it and I also have the XM radio puck. I found that this XM radio works better than the other two units that I had. It also has the bluetooth so I can answer my phone through the headset.

    Kevin, I don't understand what you are asking here. You already have a back rest. What are you looking for with the J&P Catalog? Did the shop figure out your vibration problem?
