Do you have an SD card slot in your laptop? I put the SD card into my laptop then copied the songs that I had saved on my computer onto the SD card. Plugged the SD card back into the Zumo and I was in business. Bob

Some guys don't have the nuts on their seats (figure they are held down by their weight). You can get a new nut set from Rick Butler. I have them and they are thumb nuts that you don't need a tool to install. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/1663/cat/7

He likes his bike and wants you to have one in the same make. It's not a big deal. Try out the sportster and if you don't like it tell him so. I'll bet he will be cool with it.

Did you take the bolt that was supplied for the rails over to a hardware store to get the size and pitch of the bolt? -
Glad that worked for you. I read about doing that too, but was worried that the welds would break.

Yea, the plug broke apart on me too. Since I drilled new holes to line up the saddlebag guard it wasn't a big deal. Still had to pry it out because the head of the plug would have interfered with the guard mounted to the new location. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6365&highlight=saddle+trim

I wouldn't dream of doing that. I doubt the last thing a family member would like to see is their loved one splatted under a truck. BTW, I was an EMT for many years and I've been at the scene where a relative arrived before we could put the person in a body bag. It was very traumatic for them.

I actually saw a brand new '07 Midnight Venture for sale at the Indy Motorcycle Expo last month. Since I ride one; I was drawn over to it. Maybe I should have bought it as a backup?

I installed the cable and forgot about it. First call I got; I was wondering what that ringing noise was in my headset! Then I looked down and saw I had an incoming call on the Zumo. Yea, it really works well.
