Congratulations! Enjoy your new scoot!

Wow, sorry your windshield didn't work out. Mine fit perfect and is much better than the stock shield. I have the XXL with a vent.

So you can fill in the holes they dig in the yard. And you can pick up dog poop. And you can fix all the landscaping they tear up. And you can take them for walks. See? No more boredom....

All I'm doing is an oil change! Of course I'll put some Seafoam in the tank.

Took a nice ride on Sunday. Looks like we are going to get a bit of cold weather but hopefully, it will warm up by the weekend.

Ambush city. So sorry about this.

Seems to me they didn't bash the Venture too bad. Trouble is that the testers were a bunch of short guys and this bike fit's the taller guys better. That is why I bought mine. I don't want to spend long hours on a bike that has me all cramped up.

It's supposed to be in the mid 50's tomorrow. I'm going to go ride somewhere...

Windshield/Speakers Replacement
Mariner Fan replied to Whitlow's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You will need to split the faring. It's pretty easy with these instructions. [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=494]Splitting the Fairing - VentureRider.Org[/ame]- 3 replies

I really like mine. Much more comfortable riding now especially on the freeway.

Whew! For a second there I thought you were talking about me! I didn't notice the antenna's on that bike. -
Anyone in Indiana looking for a 1st Gen

I know it's hard to tell by looking at a picture but I've seen this bike in person and have never seen a first gen so clean and unmarked. The closest one might me Leadwolf's old ride but this one is even better. What a shame that the owner didn't use the bike like it's intended but whoever buys it will be pretty happy. -
During the winter I roll the bike out of the garage and start it up. I do this once a week. Seems to me that it solves all the problems with gas gumming up the carbs, battery running down, and any problems with the tires getting flat spots.

You can see the difference between the MkI and MkII on the Venture History tab. -
We got out as well. Weather was in the Mid 60's I think. Rode up to Fort Wayne with Sideoftheroad and met up with Freezyrider and Pegscraper. A darn fine day. Got home right at sunset.

I saw that bike. Hard to believe it's that old because it looks new. Yea, it has only 15,000 miles. -
Dang, I never thought of that angle. Guess Yamaha is pretty smart for not wasting money on bike development since the end of the world is coming up fast!
