  1. Oh yeah nice try buddy ...... Thanks for your honesty jrichard, just keep half for a reward and send me the other half.
  2. Oh oh wait I get it ... it's a tongue twister! 300 lucky lesbians on a lot by Lake Erie lunching on liver and lemonade???? 3 times fast??
  3. Here are a couple from my local newspaper taken from above that I thought y'all might like.
  4. HD dealer in the Niagara area built a new real "purty" place with an attached coffee spot (never seen ANYONE at the tables) but with $35 sleeveless tshirts, $90 sweatshirts, $50 fingerless gloves .... probably doesn't NEED to sell any bikes if people are willing to throw the dough for that stuff, must be HUGE mark-up! He also kept the original store and moves Yamaha, Suzuki etc outa there. I wonder how the guy is doing .... I can say that Pooles in Hamilton looks busy .... all the time!!! and their shop rate is mind blowing, know of a guy spent $500 for new rear tire and labour, I kid you not!!
  5. So sorry guys .....front And thanks flb 78 that answers it!!
  6. My left turn signal stopped working, so I picked up a new bulb, replaced it and it glows all the time and also flashes as it should. But I noticed the right one doesn't glow all the time, only upon flashing. My question is - Which one is correct, should the bulb be lit all the time (when turned on, of course!) as the new one is or should it not be lit?? Second guessing? Thanks folks!
  7. Just got a great deal through Kijiji, 2 dozen Titleist & 2 dozen Top-Flite XL3000 golf balls for $25. All brand new still in the plastic wrapping. But, about 2 years ago now, we scored a SOLID cherry bedroom suite (queen sleigh bed, two night stands, long 9 drawer dresser and mens armoir) the ad had been up for a while for $1500, then $1300 and when it came up for $1100 we went to see it. Talked her down to $850 and she showed me the receipts for $5000 one year previous. Her daughter had bought it and then moved for work so mum was selling it for her and it wasn't moving, until dunvilsteev showed up!! THAT was my best deal! And how about y'all? Whats the best scoop you've every got through Kijiji or Craigslist? Love to read about others deals ....
  8. I have seen those before, they caught my eye because my Bubs are peeling in the same place, not positive, but I think they're Rinehart slipons with fancy tips.
  9. People start arriving and setting up camp or vendors sites usually Wednesday or Thursday morning. You can arrive with the sun and there will be people there. Be careful where you park, beware that the whole town is bikes and it can be murder trying to leave, especially in mid or late afternoon. Not only are they parked along the side of the road, also two lanes down the middle too, so with people walking.... traffic barely moves, and you are clutching like a fiend, better off to put in neutral and walk the beast. A small town (like 4 blocks long) with over 100,000 people, it can be shoulder to shoulder and getting stuff (beer, ice cream etc.) can be brutal. Pay attention - the guy you bump into maybe a full patch H/A (said from experience) On The Fringe is the big Friday 13th wear store, but the shirts are all the same on the 12th or the 14th, just $5 cheaper. As long as you are prepared for the crowds it can be fun, and expect alot this year, they are going for the World Record again. AND: Expect to go through Ride Programs, OPP can't police Caledonia, so they'll be out in full force making another pathetic show of their incompetance. Have fun, look for the tv cameras, maybe y'all will be famous.
  10. WINNER !!! WINNER !!!! Hand out the prize right now ....... LMAO!!!!
  11. All the best to you Don. You are a bigger man than me! Anything to do with the eyes just freaks me out, I can tell you the only way they'd get NEAR my eye with a needle is by sedating me. When I was a teenage we went to an all night movieathon, one of the little shorts was the Dali film (?) where it looks like a girl takes a razor blade and proceeds to calmly cut her eyeball out. I left the movie and had nightmares so bad that put me on tranqs for a while. Buddies found out how freaked I was, so the #$^#^#'s used to paint ping pong balls like eyeballs and then pretend they coughed so hard their eyeballs flew out .... yeah I know, haha. Good lesson, NEVER show weakness!
  12. Thanks. My first dog, Buster was 13+ but his hips were a mess, eyesight went and then "lump growths" . Vet did it on the lawn so he was relaxed, sedative first then the kicker. Like 20 seconds after the kicker. I spoiled him so he hung off me like flies. It was very tough, but delaying the inevitable is only selfish on my part. Good luck with Summer, a beautiful dog, so pretty you just want to touch her. You'll know when the time comes, Buster's was when he wanted me to bring his water to him instead of walk 3 steps, his hips were so messed up. This will sound cold, but I had one cry and a few little "wet eyes" when my old man died, yesterday .... I was like a baby, ALL day long. I think it is because you are removed from relatives, there is nothing you can do, whereas, you're helping the situation along with your pet and the "selfish thoughts" of keeping them around a few more weeks is always at the back of your mind. After it was done I said "Never again!" ..... I was on Kijiji "puppies for sale" by 8pm..... go figure!
  13. Buster November 7th, 1996 - August 3rd, 2010 Rest in Peace Little Buddy
  14. Couldn't agree more!! Comments posted like that SHOULD be censored. If you don't have the room, tools or mechanical know-how to help someone out you're less than human????? ouch
  15. Thanks everyone ..... you're right.... freakin' overpriced Ebay antiques!
  16. A brief history: When I purchased my '05 it came wired up and with a GPS mount on the handlebar(even found a sunshade in the trunk). But, the previous owner took the unit. Through some detective work it was determined that the old unit was a Garmin 2620. I talked to a guy at a GPS booth and he said the 2730 will also fit the mount, and has the same wiring, but is a far superior unit. So .... I have been scouring Ebay, Craiglist, want ads, google searches etc. for years now. They go for about $125 to $150 used, missing parts, not map updated etc. on Ebay. But I could go out and buy a new Garmin for $150 .... but not wired for it and I'd have to buy a mount. Getting frustrated trying to bid for the things (why would so many people want 5 year old GPS units for the same price as a new ones is beyond me!) Before I ask .... what would you do? .... keep in mind I have unique hands .... extra thumbs!!! So, what would you do.... keep trying or is it worth all this effort for an old unit, should I rip out the wiring and go for a newer unit??? Thanks!
  17. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ryl6d2ucjE0]YouTube- Yamaha Royal star Venture (Custom)[/ame] Some guys winter project I came across, totally different RSV. He said it was tough getting parts, I can see why!
  18. Whoa ..... triple points!!! Target and DQ, I for one, am thoroughly impressed. Well done! Always thought there should be "ice cream medals".
  19. Wonderful pics Wayne.... looks like y'all had a blast!! I actually had the pleasure of staying in the same little motel in Little Current, awakening at 3am to Tstorms and then riding that swing bridge in a downpour.... ahhh memories LOVE the Tobermory area, the Bruce National Park is unbelievably beautiful!!
  20. This was an interesting place, luckily I went in just AFTER hitting the ATM, 'cause it certainly ain't cheap!! But, of course, I'm worth it! They measure out the goods, add in a topping (theres quite a few of them!) and mash it together on a frozen slab of stone (marble I think), then serve in a bowl or waffle cone. Was certainly a good serving but ..... Regular is like $6, large is $8!! The one I found was in Stoney Creek, just off Paramount in the Home Depot mall. http://www.coldstonecreamery.com/index.html
  21. For those of you that don't believe we have snow every month ..... check out Tuesday in Alberta! http://www.theweathernetwork.com/news/storm_watch_stories3&stormfile=jaspersnow_13_07_2010?ref=ccbox_weather_bottom_title
  22. Re-cap: Because this was created with google maps, I think you must be logged into maps before the EDIT button is displayed. You can "view" the sightings at any time, but no EDIT. Once you have a sighting you wish to display, click on EDIT and then zoom in to pinpoint your location. Now grab the "blue balloon" for your pointer and set it in place. A box will now open giving you the opportunity to list year, colour, exact location and time and your handle, if you wish. Once your are done, close the text box and you may change the icon from a balloon to the motorcycle. Don't forget to SAVE and DONE when finished. If the sighting is you, open with EDIT and fill in the text box with your "Hey, that was me!" and then SAVE and DONE. Hope you enjoy it!
  23. In order to see the blue balloon you must click on the EDIT button. If, you do not see the EDIT button try logging on your google maps. I noticed that happened to me, since I wasn't logged in the EDIT was not available to me.... but I am not sure if that is just because I am the creator or if that applies to everyone. Hope that helps Gary.
  24. The Boss gave his consent about 5 days ago. Thanks Bob, excited to make a contribution to the site! Not a mechanical guy, so kinda "stoked" .... as the young uns say!
