A couple of places worth the ride: Fish & Chips - Minor Fisheries in Port Colborne on West St. right along the Welland Canal, has the BEST fish&chips ... either pickerel or perch fresh caught from Lake Erie. Makes Port Dover look like over priced crap... oh yeah 5 or 6 piece perch dinner $8.50!!! Roast Beef on a Bun: Tally Ho Restaurant on Main St East in Hamilton, smothered in gravy, fine sliced heaven on a bun!! Fancy Shmancy place: Niagara College has a culinary course, the students also run a restaurant that is overseen by chefs. It is called Benchmark, and a $25 plate at a high end place goes for about $17 here. A little cheaper, but fancy food .... ie lamb, steak etc.
  6. Change of address, but same GREAT site. http://bikeroads.atspace.com/
  7. The next target is : you, your bike and an Oktoberfest sign (beer stein etc.)
  8. Sure hope this counts towards the space posting, I even wore my Mr. Gazoo helmet just for the occasion!
  9. .... no more whining about the cassette!! And wait until the end and check out the "make" on the drumkit .... LOL!!! http://wimp.com/meanwhilerussia/
  10. I was in the same boat, SS Sweet Tooth. Loved the dam coke, (cola!) it was nothing to kill 10 to 12 cans a day. We have a different gauge up in Canada, but I was rocking some killer numbers too. I am no athlete guys, but I just stuck with it. The journey has its ups and downs, but stick with it and there is a gradual decline. There is only one way ..... WWW Drink Water, go for a Walk, and do a Workout every day!! It doesnt have to kill you, but you MUST break a sweat. I used a treadmill and then added small handweights after a few months. Proud to say I'm back to my high school weight and wearing 32 jeans, lost 65 lbs in a year. And my numbers .... 5.2 from 12.6 (which is normal blood sugar) Believe me ..... you hear this all the time, but it is SO true, if I can do it you surely can too. Look at the options, no need to get into that we all know what they are! Good luck .... stick with it, changes don't happen overnight.
  11. I think this character had caused some problems prior to coming on camera, everyone seemed to want to get a piece of him. Nice style though, I think they've been watching UFC
  12. It's not just the "ehs"... I noticed all the tours they write about are riding from one Tim Hortons to the next!!!
  13. Great reading material whilst on the throne.... I'll even "air 'em out" first! Of course for FREE!!
  14. Recycle - Re-use I have come to the end of my Cycle Canada subscription and I have 5 months (I think Nov 2010 - March 2011) kicking around. Would anyone be intersted in these? I'd prefer to NOT have to mail them. Maybe someone nearby, we could meet? I presume it has to be a Canuck as the magazines are written in Canadian
  15. I will say one thing on the subject - Being a non-believer one thing I do feel bad about, when someone gets hurt or has a loss, saying "My thoughts are with you" just doesn't seem as ..... nice? .... or caring maybe? ..... as "You are in my prayers". Just a weird little "something" I've noticed. But having said that, I still find it phoney on my part to say it, so I stick to my weak little "You're in my thoughts."
  16. free Molson Canadian Molson "M"
  17. Definitely enjoying the Ice & Fire saga by George R.R. Martin. Book one, Game of Thrones, was pretty good, but I'm loving book two, Clash of Kings, lots more action!
  18. I had this problem too, used spray lube and it worked like a charm. But .... I'm pretty sure I compounded the problem .... I must drive the bike forward about 15 feet onto the sloped driveway before washing, and I was leaving the key in the ignition. I think this made it worse (water getting into the ignition?). I don't do that anymore.
  19. Well Hell... then we're done!!! But thanks everyone.... avoid the Monster stuff, get 16 ga. or higher. No gold connectors and the clearest copper I can get!!! I'll look like an audiophile going into the store (until they ask me a question!) Canadians: What do you figure... Best Buy, Future Shop, Radio Shack (Source) ??
  20. I am renovating my basement, basically a 12x20 room + hallway. I plan on getting a new TV with an additional sound system, but in only the $500 range for the stereo. While I have the place ripped apart, I thought I would tack in some rear speaker cable, so it is hidden under the drywall. What cable should I buy? How thick should it be? I guess I'm looking for midrange cable to match a midrange stereo?? Any other advice while the room awaits the drywall would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.
  21. Gotta love www.wimp.com 6 of the newest videos on the web each day. Oh yeah, no smut either.
