  1. Mission completed! Canadian National Railway steam engine 6218 is the cornerstone artifact of the Fort Erie Railroad Museum. Built in 1948, the 4-8-4 wheel configuration Northern type served well into the 1960s. In its retirement it serves as a reminder of days past when Fort Erie boasted the third-largest railyard in Canada. As well as a host of artifacts, including tools and telegraphy equipment, the original Grand Trunk Railway Station in Ridgeway and the CN B-1 station, used to monitor traffic over the International Railway Bridge, was moved to the railroad museum site and are being preserved. The B-1 serves as office and gift shop. The Ridgeway Station houses the main exhibit area. The Fort Erie Railroad Museum is located at 400 Central Avenue in the town of Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada The next target is you, your bike and your old school (be it grade, high or reform)
  2. ..... and if you are NOT at fault, you do NOT pay your deductable.
  3. As requested ..... blame Mister Squidley! MUST be a plumber!
  4. Congrats folks ...... I'm 364 days behind ya!! We had our 25th yesterday, on the 11th.
  5. Love the starbursts ... just the right angle!! My buddy has a trick for getting a good angle when riding, he holds the camera upside down so the button is under the thumb, instead of stretching with your index finger when holding the camera right side up. Then he just flips the pics on the 'puter. Just something I never thought of .....
  6. Wow, well done. That is some physique!! So ..... if thats the son ...... I guess I better call you MISTER Yamaduck from now on.
  7. I agree, lotsa great ideas! Reflecting off lenses and mirrors, looking at the speed of the ground ..... Hopefully I don't kill myself trying to get some of these. Mamas gonna have some scrapbookin' to do!!!
  8. For sure!!!
  9. .... and what a good little navigator you are, leaving that trail of shells in case y'all get lost ?!?!
  10. THATS what I'm talking about ..... cool ideas!! Love the mirrored scenery and through the spokes A+ ....
  11. Going through others photos I see "Wanderer" has a great one of him and the missus peeking over his shoulder as they cruise down the road. And Charlie (dragerman) has a cool one of his profile reflected in his right side mirror. Both "moto photos" - can only be had on a bike! Feel free to post 'em guys, I am unsure how to do that, and I felt funny taking others pics to show on my thread.
  12. There are certain photos you can only get on a bike. One of my favs is when the wife took one in the reflection of my helmet. I know it is an old one, but still something you could only get on a bike. Any other ideas?
  13. Same as you, Harley Street Glide maybe a Road King.
  14. Went to the Embassy Suites Keg last night, it was quite the view, food was .... well, it was the Keg with a couple extra $$$ thrown in for the view. Something else you MIGHT want to consider is a horse & carriage ride around the falls, again, not cheap, but DEFINITE brownie points with the wife !!! http://www.niagaraparks.com/garden-trail/horse-carriage-rides.html
  15. Well, it looks like the "cap" didn't work out. Now they are talking about shooting a "wad" of stuff to plug the hole. They say the 5000 barrels/day could possibly go up to 40,000 barrels/day!! OMG this is going from bad to worse!
  16. That looks really cool, what seat is that?
  17. Along the same lines .... FYI May 11th is our 25th anniversary and we are going to Niagara for dinner, it was a toss up between The Keg at the Embassy Suites, or the Copacabana. Wife won, we're going to the Keg. Check out the webpage, this might interest you, for a special meal! http://www.fallsviewrestaurant.com/default.html I presume you've heard of the Copa .... if not, check out their site too, I think last time it was about $38 a head.... I think! www.copacabana.ca
  18. Love the little bug ..... ya got me!! Tried to wipe it off my screen!! :8:
  19. My 05 came with a Gorilla (not sure what model) and it has motion sensor and ignition alarms. But, you have to put it somewhere, obvious place is the saddlebag, then there are the wires running from it. About the ONLY time I use it is if I'm walking away and I actually notice some nefarious looking dudes eyeing it up, otherwise I never use it. So then when I do actually turn it on, I usually forget about it when returning and set it off myself..... dah! Probably going to remove it and use the wiring for LEDs....
  20. Made it home just as the sprinkles started, but I was looking over my shoulder until Caledonia, then the clouds had caught up with me. Again, thanks for the ride, Carl, lotsa new tundra for this newbie.
  21. Okay things look a little better now on the weather site, saying it wont start until 5 and thats around New Hamburg .... so I'm coming! Keep an ear out around 1ish... see you then Carl. PS: Anyone else want to come for a ride? Feel free folks.
  22. I use Zultrax , I like it because it has no add-ons (spyware etc).
  23. Funny you say that .... I do believe that his wife is in front of the house in a red jacket in the Google Maps image of the front of his house. Never thought about this before, but if you knew when the Google car was coming around, wouldn't it be cool to stand on your porch and wave, to be shown forever!
  24. Mother Nature is looking a little grim .... especially when I looked under New Hamburg on the Weather Network. I will check again first thing in the morning and re-post what I'm going to do, still haven't given up 100% yet. Fingers crossed!! But check your area for your night ride Carl ..... I dunno?!?!
