  1. Perhaps others have been through this: English teeth and years of cola have left me in a right state. I have a partial plate for all my bottom molars which I despise and rarely wear (it feels like a hunk of hard plastic) and I have had a 4 tooth bridge on the top left side for 30 years. Lately the bridge has been getting infections regularly, although he cant see anything the dentist thinks the root may be cracked. It seems it is on its last legs. So now I'm going to need a partial for the top, but after the bottom I wonder if going to a denturist might not be a better idea. I know the bottom was about $1200 and I had to pay $350 of it (above insurance) through the dentist. Has anyone been to both, which is better? more economical? and better work? Thanks.

  3. I'm guessing, it IS hard to tell, however, I'd be leaning towards hawk or osprey, eagles tend to have dark bodies, his body looked light colored to me. But having said that an immature eagle is a definite possibility.

  6. There's got to be an easier way.... When I had the new tires installed I told the guy to face the air valve to the high side (right), but he called me in and showed me the positioning of the rear brake disc made this impossible. Crawling underneath with very limited vision, dam hot pipes and of course, I'm lowered by 2" too, makes for a difficult time and a freakin' burned forearm! Like i said .... there's got to be an easier way. >>>
  7. I think one or two of you guys lived in my house before me ..... if something takes 4 screws to mount it, it'll invariable have TWO KITTY CORNERED from each other. All over this house! I'm one of those "if I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it right" type of dinosaurs. To sit on a loose seat would bother me to no end. Besides .... its the baby!
  8. This is SO typical of me ..... attached the seat, snugged up the bolt and it starts spinning. At this point I realized, rounded headed bolt used. Ripped it out and NOW have a hex head bolt in its place, in the drying stage, but THIS WILL WORK! $12 in parts seems a lot better than $400 for a new seat.
  9. That does look very similar to the bolt that came out, except the shaft without threads was not that thick, same size, and the head was square, but about the same size. Thanks, the plastic putty is now in "set mode" hoping to go for a spin this aft. Looks good so far.

  12. As many others have done, I snapped one of the studs that secure the seat to the frame. After some surgery with the trust Bowie, I removed the old stud and now have a "quarter - sized" hole. A washer/locking nut assembly still feels rather flimsy. My idea was to set the right sized bolt and then use something to both fill the hole and then set rigid, so as to hold the bolt. Epoxy ? Fiberglass repair? I even see Krazy Glue comes as a gel now... got me thinking. Any ideas? Anyone else try this? Thanks ahead of time.
  13. I thought it was better attach to an OP vs starting a new one and explaining what I was talking about... This was where I noticed leakage, the bike was idling, covers still ON. I presumed these where frost plugs and that was the cause of my problem. Do you think that this could NOT of ran my reservoir dry and left a puddle under the bike during the winter??? There was no leakage around the water pump or rad.
  14. Noticed a puddle under the baby, after some tracing and part removal it seems to be coming from the dam frost plug. I presume I screw a screw into the threaded opening, yank the old one out and hammer the new one in place???? Sound about right?? Called to order the parts, I overhead the parts guy asking someone? (gawd I hope it wasnt their mechanic) about it and he didnt know how to remove or install at all... well here, let me bring my bike in for y'all to practise on! AS IF!
