this made me sick.....glad Im not close ....
Leadwolf56 replied to painterman67's topic in Watering Hole
I understand why the PGR can not help in a case like this. I'd like to ask why an organization like the CMA couldn't step in and help here. I have several friends in the local CMA chapter here. We ride with them occasionally. They meet the criteria of non-violent and non-confrontational. Seems to me it would be a good fit. Not their sole purpose but could help out in situations like this. CMA members, any comments? -
Hey Bob, Not an epidemic, just a lot of members here getting old, in a few years you and I might have to get one of those too.....:rotf: Oh wait, Darrin is 10 years younger than me and wants one, guess he just acts old huh? :rotf::rotf::rotf::rotf: Mel, nice ride!

Doesn't look like any of them are on right now. They should see it as soon as one of them logs in.

Nope, sorry, I won. Got me a new bag for the luggage rack coming and a nice pair of leather gauntlet gloves. A couple things we/I needed. Don, thanks again for this fun thread.

My neighbor is an X Texan too......and y'all talk the same way, slow and with a strange accent..... But that's ok, it's fun to listen to. But I think Texas is actually filling up with more Northern folks these days. You know, like the Squid and Monkey Boy, all trying to run away from the cold and snow but we see it followed them there.....

Nice, if you look in my gallery you'll see pics of ours, the exact same model. We love ours, makes camping a lot easier.

Cortisone shots...the duct tape of the human body!
Leadwolf56 replied to 1BigDog's topic in Watering Hole
Did a couple cortisone shots in my left knee, they hold up for a couple months. Last spring I had him shoot it up with Synvisc, that was last April-May, 3 injections a week apart. It's still holding up pretty good, better than the cortisone. Might do it again in a couple months but that would be a year. -

A year and a half ago my wife (Tinkerbell here) went through MSC. She got a deal on a 2000 Honda Shadow 750 ACE from a coworker. She does very well with it. Lasst summer she rode it to Maintenance Day (her first longer ride) and to Rockville, IN, both 200+ mile trips. She had no problem keeping up. She did have a small problem with holding the throttle open, I put a throttle rocker on and she did much better. I've ridden her bike a bit and will tell you it has plenty of power even with a heavier rider on it.

Don, You left out Bill Chase, Maynard Ferguson, Louis Armstrong and Prez Prado. Yep, I played a long time too. Elkhart, IN, where I live now is/was home to Conn, Selmer, Bach, Gemeinhardt and Blessing, just to name a few horn manufacturer's. I had a couple Bach Stradivarius models, a Getzen Doc Severinsen model, and a Conn Constellation. Played in a dance band for 20 years after high school. After that dried up I ended up selling them one by one. Amazing what the old horns are worth today. The Conn was the last one, it paid for my half of my son's wedding 2 years ago.

New Idea for Air Filters
Leadwolf56 replied to dlhoulton's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I've been watching this. Gator06 has gone a step beyond this. He did away with the intake boxes and intake lines. his filters sit up on top of the carburetors under the gas tank. He has a small chrome filter on his oil breather? on the right side. I'll see if I can get him to post some pics of it. He did some rejetting on his carburetors. The look is wide open and he's looking for some kind of storage bags to fit behind the lowers. I run K&N filters in stock boxes and still get better mileage than he does, frustrates him to no end. -

We pull a 1994 Bunkhouse, very nice, Monty tried to steal it from me at the rally in July. That looks like a great deal for an 06.

Dan, Looks like you all had a great time. Glad we could help Hal and Gayle along their way. See you and Shari somewhere along the way.
