  1. I'm loving this 1989 Venture Royal with every option. The idle had an issue that I fixed by re connecting a loose vacuum hose but other than that, she is mint with just over 28,500 miles. When Our twin boys were born I had a VT1100C Honda Shadow that she did not like to ride two-up on. This bike she loves and she make a great back rest lol.
  2. Sure, I'll Take a couple at lunch tmr. I'm not sure what it is but it definitely prevented the blips from hanging before returning to idle no question. Will
  3. Thanks people for the info. I figured it was normal but my only other bike ever was a 1985 Honda VT1100C Shadow and I remember it being geared much lower. I'll just start riding one gear lower! Will
  4. If I'm on a level road in 5th gear and doing less than 3,000RPM the motor runs good, no misfire, but she is lugging. My 1989 likes 3,000 and up to be smooth and have smooth acceleration. Is this the case across the board? Thanks Will
  5. I don't think the Ventures have a "Bilge pump". lol
  6. I thought I had a Lean condition because after a 3000 RPM blip, my RPM' would decrease rapidly to 2,000 RPMs then take around 10-15 seconds to reach the set idle of around 1K RPMs. Well while looking for the mixture screws I noticed a rubber hose coming down from, I think, the air box or somewhere near it that went to a metal T then to the left and right side carbs. Guess what, the hose coming down wasn't even connected to the T. I connected it and the bike seems to drop to idle normally now. Woot. Will
  7. Anyone know what this is for. I've failed to find this info yet. Thanks Will
