Monty and Angie came over today to show off the new scoot and it's a beauty. Monty: The two of you look really good on it, like it was made for you. I know you will really enjoy it. Don and I think you will enjoy the ride to Maintenance Day on your new scoot too. Look forward to riding with you guys as soon as Don gets his hand back in shape. Let us know how you like the headsets too. Hope to see y'all this Saturday! Pat and Don:thumbsup2:

Sounds good to me Monty. You figure out how to do it, experiment on your bike, THEN you can install mine. It would save me a trip to Texas, lol. Don

I thought you were leaving tomorrow for Buddy's to pick up your bike and wondering if you were still going...and if you are, please be careful. Weather is not too good for the next couple of days. If I can help you in anyway, let me know. Have a safe trip. Don

Wishing you all the best of luck...keep us posted. Don

Congrats to you!!! It's a wonderful day to become a grampa. We too became GREAT grandparents today, for the 2nd time. Just love these kids...AND our youngest son is leaving for Afghanistan next month. He is in the Air Force and will be flying reconnaissance. We will keep your family in our prayers as we do all our soldiers here and there. We are so proud of them. B2Mom & B2Dad (Pat and Don)

It is almost midnight and we just got home. He was really trying to be a Valentines baby. Thanks everyone for the well wishes and prayers. Mother and baby are doing great, but it was a hard labor before she finally gave up and let them do the c section. Will visit with them more tomorrow. As soon as I can get that meet n eat planned out...will let you know. Needing some better weather first. Tired of the snow here, but with my hand and all, can't ride right now anyway. But I haven't forgotten you guys...

Hey everyone. B2Dad is better tonite. Pain is under control with LOTS of drugs, haha. Seriously...he had a rough night last night when the numbness wore off (about 2 am) and it took awhile to get the pain under control. But doing way better tonite. Thanks for all the well wishes...and B2Mom (Pat) is taking WONDERFUL care of me (yes, she's typing this, LOL!!). She is a wonderful wife, loving, caring, sees to my every need., etc....hahaha! Hey TOM: Posting the picture of the banner from the International Rally last year that you wanted to see. It is in one of the spare rooms we have.

I got mine Monday but am not going since it is the same weekend as Don's Maintenance Day and I have already made plans to go to that. Don

That is a beautiful bike Monty. When the weather breaks, you can bring it by for me to look at...since I won't be riding anytime soon. (B2MOM is writing this) don

Just got home with Don...surgery went well. He was a good patient...hopefully he will stay that way with me. I will be ok for now...he can't move his arm right now. They did a shoulder block. I think I could get the bike keys and go for a spin without him knowing...except we got some more snow yesterday, last nite and this morning. It was a long drive to Nashville in the blizzard at 3 am this morning...but we made it. Thanks everyone for the well wishes and prayers. They are always appreciated. He is on the road to recovery and with a little therapy, he will be back on the bike in no time. (He says 4 weeks, LOLOLOL) Patti

Hey, thanks for all the goodwishes everyone! I appreciate your sentiments, especially you Monty. Don hasn't seen this yet and are you home if he does? LOL

Hey all, B2Dad is having surgery Tuesday on his right hand. He has arthritis in his thumb and the doctor at Vanderbilt is inserting a tendon (from his arm) and putting it in the joint at the base of his thumb. He has been in awful pain for awhile now but finally decided to get this done. The surgery won't be too bad, outpatient, but the healing process will take awhile and doctor said it may be 8 weeks before he can ride. Will you please pray for me while he is "laid up" and can't ride? Then again, I could learn to drive the bike and take him for a ride, doncha think? As soon as the weather gets better of course... Patti

Thanks for keeping us posted and we are still thinking / praying for you both. We know the road to recovery is going to be long...but hopefully it will be worth it all in the end. Tell Charlene we are keeping her in our prayers. Don and Pat

I had my Hannigan kit done in July 09. I already have 12,000 miles on it. It does not come with reverse. I was worried about that until I actually rode it and have never had a problem since. It rolls really easy if I ever get in a spot that would have needed reverse. If you get it done, be sure you get the EZ Steer put on. I didn't find out until after the fact (after talking to 1up at the Vogel) that I needed handle bar risers. I installed 1 1/2" risers and it made a world of difference in the handling. I will tell you that I dropped alot in gas mileage. I now average 25mpg or less (depending on how I drive it). That is probably the worst part, but I still wouldn't trade it for anything. I did get the running boards and love them. You can absolutely stand on them with no problems. I have added extra lights. The two lights on the bottom, I got the idea from 1up and hooked them up as running lights only. The other lights I just happened to find. I am adding a couple pics to show you. Feel free to call me anytime. I did get the Trike done at my dealer, but Hannigan's is about 30 miles from my home. If I can help in any way, let me know. Mini muffin: He knows where he's going but I didn't write it down...will check with him next time we talk and let you know. I think this is a new program for the AF and his plane will be brand new. Will keep you posted as soon as I speak to him again.
-
We do not feel bad for him...he VOLUNTEERED. Pat did not deal with that very well at first...but we certainly understand that yes, this is what he signed up for when he joined the AF. He is very passionate about his flying (and bike riding). This is his career. As a parent, you sometime have conflicting emotions...can't be helped. But we are always proud and supportive. As a footnote: his best friend that he grew up with is also going there. He joined the AF about a year before Jason and is stationed in Fla. Neither knew the other was going (or had volunteered) and now they will be stationed at the same base. Coincidence????

Here is a picture of him with the T 38 and his bike. He did a safety poster for the base in Columbus, MS.

Our youngest son, Jason(Air Force pilot) is being deployed to Afghanistan in March to fly reconnaissance. He leaves in February to train on a new plane...NC12. The civilian plane is the King Air 350. This is his 3rd military plane to fly. He started out flying the B2 Stealth. He currently was a pilot instructor for the T 38. Some of you have met him as he rides a ZX 1400 and has rode to some of our meet n eats, especially to St. Jude's and to Snarley Bills at St. Charles. We support him and all our military and pray for their safe return home. Don and Pat

I watch it as much as I can. I have never done the fantasy bids. Like you, if I had kept all my cars, I would be sitting on a gold mine too. I would rather be there in person one time...just to actually see all these beautiful vehicles. Then again, maybe not...I may get caught up in the excitement and actually start bidding on something...then end up in the doghouse...LOL!
