Merry Christmas from the B2 family... B2dad and I want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We hope Santa is good to you this year and wish there was a new Venture in everyone's stocking..or under your tree...wherever it fits. LOL! But mostly thank you for sharing your thoughts, prayers, problems, solutions and stories with us this past year. We have enjoyed the meets and get togethers all over this great country of ours and the friendship that has come with it. This is truly a wonderful family and we are so glad you have let us be a part of it this year. Here's hoping to a better 2011 for all of you and hope to meet you down the road for some more great food and friendship. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Don and Patti

My daughter in law is a teacher and they already called off school for tomorrow. You can't believe it here in the south...a couple of snow flurries and as ScaryLarry says, people go crazy! We got a little bit today and some of the roads aren't the greatest, but they don't have any snow removal equipment and they just spread a little dirt or liquid salt on the roads. It's definitely cold tho...not really bike riding weather, for sure. Although I told my son today I was going to take the trike out and do some doughnuts in the driveway...he said to be sure and get it on video...had to take Pat to the store for groceries instead. LOL.

I don't think so...he has to go back to work this week. He had to ride it home (about 4 hrs south to Columbus, MS) yesterday and it was a cool 40 degrees when he left here. Hopefully we can go riding soon tho.

Our youngest son, Jason, showed up for Thanksgiving on his new ride... He just got home from Afghanistan and couldn't wait another day to get a new ride. I tried to get him to buy a new RSTD, but as you can see, it didn't work. He still wants a sporty model with SPEED. If only I was younger...

Glad to hear the package withstood the brown monster. I'm sure that package could even withstand King Kong!! It should last a long time. A hard freeze is predicted this weekend so probably won't get much riding in for a bit. But I can't wait to show off the new and improved trike. Haven't seen him yet, but will get to see him next week and will be giving him the biggest HUG! LOL. It will be a great Thanksgiving. ROADHAND: He is stationed at Columbus AFB, MS. Tell your son thanks for his service. For sure, they don't tell us everything! DRAGONRIDER: He is sorry he missed "our" St. Jude, but is doing a Marathon for them in Memphis in Dec. Just wanted to give you all an update on our son, Jason. He flew into Columbus, MS this morning. He's been in Afghanistan for the last 7 months and is home for good...or until the Air Force wants him back over there I guess. Not sure what his next assignment will be yet...but we are very thankful he is home for now. Thank you all for your support during this time. We appreciate it and hope all our military personnel make it home safe. Don and Patti

I finally broke down and ordered some diamond cut fins from Mike last week. He sent them special delivery thru a friend of his who just happened to be visiting him and lived near me. I picked them up this morning and got them put on this afternoon. I have to say I have never seen anything packed like this before. Mike has a special box that he ships them in. Each piece has it's own place in the box and there is no way for them to get damaged. Pretty neat! Aside from the box, I really like these fins. I am posting a few pics here. Thanks again Mike...I really love 'em. PS. Pat says I'm done! LOL!

B2dad thought up our names...it comes from our son, Jason, who some of you know (he used to have a crotch rocket). He is a B2 pilot in the Air Force...so we are B2dad and B2mom. We also have a painting of his B2 on the back of the trike. Quite a conversation piece when we make stops. As a side note...he is currently on his way home from Afghanistan. Should be back home in a couple of days.

Sorry I didn't post last nite...was really tired. Had some drama today too, but will post that later. As Midnite said, we were all very touched by this experience and so very glad to see the ones that could join us for the tour. We understand not everyone could make it but you support this cause in other ways. Can't wait for next year...and the challenge is on, right Lewis? Don:thumbsup:

We can meet you at the rest area just past Jackson (exit 80) at 9 am. I am not sure what exit the rest area is at, but we will be getting on I 40 at exit 80 and I know it's just a few miles past that. If we leave there around 9 am we should be able to make it to the Flying J by 11 to meet up with the rest of the group. You are more than welcome to come here to our house and ride with us, Monty and Midnite from here. Whatever you want to do. See if you can talk ScaryLarry into riding with you? Don

We can meet here at our house that morning or for those riding in on I-40 from Nashville, we can meet at the first rest stop past Jackson going towards Memphis. I get about the same as Bongobob. Anywhere from 23-27 mostly with 2 up. I have had a low of 21, guess that's when I am mostly pushing it on the hwy. Had a high of 35 when I rode at 35 mph on a scenic road for over an hour. Probably won't do that again. LOL! Don

If you are thinking of a trike conversion, Hannigan is my favorite. Mostly due to the independent suspension. I don't need reverse. As Carbon One stated, you learn where to park. They roll really easy so mostly it's not a problem anyway. AND if you have to push it, it still rolls pretty easily. OR bring the wife / better half. They are good for a push, lol. I have had mine triked for over a year now and will never regret my decision. I absolutely love it. AND it looks great. It's a great conversation starter and wherever I stop, almost always someone comes over and talks to me about it. Snarley Bill and Colesgrandpaw rode mine this weekend around the parking lot at Meramec. I think they liked it. The BAD thing I will tell you about a trike conversion is that you will lose gas mileage. I lost about 10-15% on mine. Not sure what the others lost. I do ride hard. I still recommend it tho. Don
