Two years ago, Don gave rides to a couple of older ladies... THIS year...he's still giving rides to ladies. However, they are getting much younger now... What do you think?

And everyone who helped...who came..who had a great time! Thanks for making my first Vogel so much fun. Even the bit of rain we had didn't dampen my spirits. THANK YOU!!!

She's here with us...and we're going to make sure she's gonna stay out of trouble! Not easy to do, I know....LOL! Having a great time here. Annie and I took a little trip on the trikes last night...while Don and Alan followed in the truck..wish I had pictures of that! Patti

We got home yesterday afternoon...after riding in the heat and a little rain. As soon as we stopped to put on the rainsuits, it quit raining of course. Aussie Annie and Quickstep are here with us too. Wild Hair passed us on the highway somewhere..??? Wonder where he is going? We had a great time tho and it was definitely fun! Always great to see old faces and meet new ones. Thanks Lewis and Charlene and all your helpers. It was a great event and hope we raised alot of money for St. Jude. Patti and Don

Just now saw your post. Glad you are all ok and Joyce is probably much sorer today. I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago. Stopped at a light and a guy coming off a 12 hr shift fell asleep and rear ended me. Thank GOD I was not on the bike either. You just never know what is going to happen. You can't always control the situation. Don't know about your girl, but my guy only got a ticket for "following too close". He also did not have insurance in a state where it is mandatory...not sure what will happen there, but had to file a claim under MY insurance...the uninsured motorist fund. Had to pay a $200 deductible too. Totally mad about it. My insurance company will go after the guy to pay, but you can't make someone pay if they don't have any money. Good luck Joyce and Larry and again...glad y'all weren't hurt any worse. Pat and Don

Are you bringing some more tickets to sell? You should probably bring whatever you have left..

Thanks for the reflections Brad. Don and I have been doing the same thing since we heard the news...going over the times we have been with Ponch and Lil Bit. They are just the sweetest couple and we would do anything for them. We know he's in the biggest fight right now and pray that the man upstairs is listening to all of us. How could he not? There has been such an outpouring of love on here. What a great family we have and whatever Ponch or lil bit needs in the coming weeks / months...you know we will do our best to see that they get it...one way or another. This VR family will come together like no other family. And we continue to pray...and wait... -
And to all the others for planning what looks to be a fun time at Vogel. This will be my first time there (B2dad was there at the last one 2 years ago) and I am truly excited. I am bringing you a special present Lewis! We should be arriving sometime in the early afternoon Wed. Leaving around 5 am per "dad". UGH! See you soon! Patti

RSTC passenger comfort question.
b2dad replied to muaymendez1's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
but check out Diamond R. They have a set of foot "rests" or pegs...that I added to mine. They are higher and can be moved out of the way when not being used. Wife LOVES them and gives her an added "change of position" for longer rides. Gotta keep the wife happy ya know!!! Don (who's wife is typing this, haha) -

Thanks for the update. Appreciate you keeping us informed, no matter what the news is... I know it's extremely hard for you all there. Will keep the prayers going. -
I had my '08 converted in '09 with the Hannigan kit and wouldn't have it any other way. If you want a Maintenance guide, you may want to contact Hannigan directly and ask them. They have a website and are extremely nice. As for the tire, I am also running kumo's on the back. This is my 2nd set and I think I got about 35,000 off the first ones. The front tire...the one I had on and loved the best, they don't make any more. So when I had to replace it I ended up with a Kendra K673 Kruz. I did not reverse the tread because it's the same either way. I can't tell you yet how good it is because I only have about a 1000 miles on it. I ordered it online and my mechanic mounted it for me. I have the EZ steer and wouldn't trade it for anything. However, I put 1 1/2" risers on it too. Before the risers, I had a hard time steering, especially in tight turns. But the risers made a world of difference. The aux gas tank was not available when I had mine triked. Thought about adding it, but it's too expensive for me right now and the wife likes to stop every 100 miles anyway. As for gas mileage, I only get in the high 20's right now...unless I am loaded and pulling my trailer and then it drops to the mid 20's. I also ride hard tho. If I ride a 2 lane road and stay around 55 mph, I get better mileage...but that doesn't happen often. Hoping to get with Muffinman one of these days. He thinks he can color tune it and get better mileage. Let me know if you have any other questions. I really love my Hannigan conversion and only live about 30 minutes from them. Don

Wanna come down early and get mine ready? I really need a wax...worked all day yesterday cleaning it up and then we went for a ride last night..and got caught in the rain. UGH!! Now I am having to clean it all over again. about got the trailer done. Will be ready when you get here...can't wait to see everyone.

I put "car ramps" in front of the back tires and drive it up on that...then I take a floor jack and raise the front. VOILA! That raises it enough to work on it. I can change the oil, clean / wax it. It doesn't raise it alot..but enough. Until Larry (Carbon One) makes a lift adapter...OR you want to spend megabucks...this is what I do. Don PS. Glad you got the Hannigan and hope you are really enjoying it.
