  2. Just might look there. Thanks for the idea
  3. Anyone else have any ideas where to look?
  4. Does anyone know where I can find a T bar handle to put on the trunk of my trike? I've seen them on others, but can't remember who had them or where I can purchase one or two. I want to change out the lock on the trunk and would like to install a T Bar handle instead of just a lock. Any help would be appreciated! thanks Don
  5. Thanks for posting this pic. This is what it's all about!!!! What a great feeling and what a wonderful post from the mother.

  7. Thanks Mike. I need to know how much so I can send you some money paypal...??
  8. Glad you are pretty much ok, couldn't hurt that hard head of yours, right? Seriously tho, couldn't believe what I was reading. Feel bad that you left here and didn't make it very far. Take it easy until you feel better. Glad Mike was there to help ya. Guess it's time you think about "triking" it, huh? LOLOL!! You do realize this would not have happened if you had a trike...just saying... Don
  9. glad you are home ok. Can't imagine being away from the grandkids that long. Let us know how it goes with the lawyers and best of luck. don and Patti
  10. I know it was a long trip for you to get home but I'm sure you are glad to be back with your friends and family there. Let us know when you are over your jet lag.. Love and miss you Patti and Don
  11. Thanks for looking at the video and posting here. Yes, we are so proud of him. Lewis: Unfortunately, he cannot make it to St. Jude this year. His schedule is too full. He said to tell you hello and maybe next year he can ride with us. Marcarl: Official Instructor, yes, yes, yes. LOL
  12. He is NOT an AFA grad. He joined the AF part way through college with a friend who opted out during boot camp. His first assignment was Minot, ND as a security specialist. He started flying in the helicopters doing perimeter searches (as security, not the pilot) and I guess you could say he was in the right place at the right time. He expressed his desire to fly and his commander said ok...or something like that, LOL! He went back to college and finished his degree and then went to flight school. He did so well there that on graduation night, they announced he had been awarded the B2. He became (at that time) the youngest (aged), lowest rank ( 2nd LT), and the first ever awarded the B2 directly out of flight school. WOO HOO! That's my son! (this is mom speaking, B2mom). His dad and I are proud of all our children, and all our service men and women and their families. We don't want to forget their families...the husbands and wives and children that keep the home fires burning. Tell your son we appreciate his service also. The air show was awesome with all the service branches represented along with several different guard units. This is the first air show we ever attended and will NOT be the last. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed all the performers, not just our son. Due to the recent news of 2 plane crashes at air shows...it was very emotional for me (the mother) to watch some of the stunts. However, you can't not look! Thanks again for your post and interest in Jason. Don and Patti
  13. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g5lSVfquu4&feature=share]2011 Memphis Airshow - B-2 Fly-by - YouTube[/ame] Pretty cool. If you listen carefully, you can hear the first pilot, Jason, saying hello to his parents!
  14. anyone live near Memphis and going to the Air show Saturday? (It's actually being held at the airfield in Millington, just north of Memphis) Our son is flying the B2 over. The Blue Angels will be there. Going to be a fantastic show! If you are in the area, please come or at least look UP!! it's going to be awesome!
  15. Thanks for clearing this up for us. I knew they had a very high rate of research AND treatment for the kids. They do such good work that I don't mind a bit giving to this very worthy charity. And if you are not sure...just go visit this place folks! You will see grown men cry! and that's us visiting! It's a very emotional experience, but one not to be missed. You will see where your donation goes and why it is truly needed. Make plans now to attend! and just for a kicker..how about a little donation? for the kids ya know!!
  16. We can't believe your journey is about over and you are headed home. We keep looking down the driveway and expect that harley (& 1st Gen) to come rumbling up here. However, when all is said and done..we can't believe our good luck that you picked us to spend time with this summer. We loved having you here, riding with you on all our rides this summer, visiting Jack Daniels!, S'Mores, Lamberts (remember the throwed rolls?), S'Mores, eureka Springs, Vogel, S'Mores, Whiteman AFB, Joe's Crab Shack, our fish fry, S'Mores & campfires...hey! We sure did eat alot, huh? And of course our favorite place.. DAIRY QUEEN!! but most of all folks..you became family here. My kids and grandkids now think of you as AUNT Annie and UNCLE Al. You will always be welcome here and perhaps one day...we can come visit you. You just never know!! Love you guys...and safe trip home! sniff sniff!! Don, Patti, Cece, Lucky, and all the kids & grandkids:thumbsup2: PS. Don says "CHURCH"!!! and thanks for sewing on all those patches!!
  17. Lewis, Don and I are coming (as you know!!) and wish I could give you a head count of who else is coming with us, but not sure yet. They will have to post. I think Carbon One and wife (Joyce) are definitely giving it some serious thought. Also, Wayne O and guest are coming. Pretty sure on that one. Will give you a definite head count from NW TN in a week. Can't wait!!! Patti
  18. Robin and Wayne So sorry to hear this news and we are praying for you and your family during this sad time. Don and Patti
  19. Bumping this back up
  20. Pat and I really enjoyed meeting you and having you in our home. We especially enjoyed riding with you and Alan. Have a safe trip home and hope you come back soon. Miss you! Don, Patti, Cece and Lucky (and kids and grandkids all say HEY!!) ps. Let me know if you don't get your package. should be there waiting on you. Pat mailed it Tuesday 9/6.
  21. The time is getting close. I am sure a $1 or $2 won't break most of us. If everyone gave just a dollar, we could hit that $10,000 mark that Lewis spoke of! I personally will get this going again with a donation of $25. Who is with me??? Dig deep fellow VR members! And thanks! It's for the kids, ya know!
  22. Lewis Don and I will be there. You know we wouldn't miss it. See you at the flying J. Patti
  23. Here are a few pics we took at Whiteman AFB... Had a really good time
  24. I work in Union City and you couldn't even call me? I promise I wouldn't have called Shirley and told her nothin!! We left at 4:30 this afternoon for Whiteman AFB. Staying the nite in Festus. Really hot riding today...but you prolly know that. Was it a 12 or '11 they priced you? Sounded like a good deal, but...
  25. I can't tell you what a pleasure it's been to have you stay with Don and I. You have graced our home a few times in the last 3 months and we are so grateful you chose us. Not only have we have learned alot about you and your culture, but you have made a wonderful impact on our children and grandchildren. I wouldn't have traded one minute of our time together. It was awesome riding with you and Alan. May God bless you both as you end your trip in the US and head home. When you look back on this wonderful and wild adventure, I hope you remember all of us with fond memories and can venture back next year to grace us with your Aussie presence once again. Home won't be the same without you. Love you both, kisses and hugs! Don and Patti
