Need a new or used seat for Don's '08 Venture. If used, needs to be in excellent condition. Anyone know where I can find one? thanks Patti
-
You have to let HIM do that! Otherwise you are getting me in trouble. Don is always wanting me to clean the bike but I just don't have time. so don't pay the cable / satellite bill so he will get out of the house and work on the bike himself. Stop cooking...he will have to take you out for dinner and you can tell him only the bike has gas. so you will have to ride the bike. Tell him B2Mom and B2dad are having a M & E in May and you want to ride down here and visit with us. (How's that?) Good luck! Patti
-
Was hoping you were going to make it for our M & E this year. The whole family will miss you as well. We will keep the home fires burning awaiting your return (including the fire pit with the s'mores). LOL. Pray all goes well in court or hopefully you can settle before it goes to court. Keep in touch and know you are welcome here anytime. Love ya! Don and Patti

Here's my take.. Had my RSV converted to a trike with the Hannigan kit June '09 and never regretted it. Another plus for me is that I live near the Hannigan Factory / showroom. I have the floorboards and again, the best decision I made. One good thing about this is if you are caught in the rain it will keep your feet dry. I can also sit on the bike and push backwards with one foot. The trike rolls so easy you wouldn't believe it. It's true that if you are on a hill, it's a little more difficult, but I have never had a problem backing it up. (There's always the wife for that job!) I do wish I had an aux tank, but it wasn't available when I had mine done. I am working on resolving that problem tho...will keep you all updated.. As for mileage..don't know where you all are getting 40+ mpg...I never got that as a 2 wheel. However, my wife says I have a lead foot (throttle) so I always do speed limit PLUS...As a 3 wheel, I only get in the 20's. By myself, no trailer I can sometimes get 30. 2 up and pulling a trailer I get low 20s. As for tires, I run the original tires that Hannigan put on. The front tire, I run a Michelin Continental rear tire and reverse the tread. The last one I had I got close to 25,000 miles. Rear tires got a little better than 30,000. Sorry I went on so long, but wanted to let you know. I have 62,000 miles on my '08 and wouldn't change a thing except more bling!! One more thing...1 up told me to put a 1 1/2" riser on and when I did, it made a WORLD of difference. No matter what you have done, I really hope you enjoy your trike. If you want to come and visit the showroom here and talk to the people, let me know. I will be glad to take you over there and introduce you. They will answer any question you have. Right BongoBoib? LOL Don PS. My beautiful wonderful sweet loving hard working wife is typing this for me!!

I put a Michelin Commander II 150/80/16 on the front AND reversed the tread. I really like it so far. The rear tires are Kumho Solus SR 21 P 195/60/15 and I will never put another brand on there if I can help it. I LOVE the Kumho's.

I know how much your heart is breaking. Not sure if you have any other children nearby. We have two sons..one is nearby (with 3 of my grandchildren). The other son is in the Air Force and is now stationed outside Kansas City at Whiteman AFB...which is about an 8 hr drive one way for us. They have two boys (our other grandchildren)...so I feel your pain. They were only 4 hrs away so they came home alot..but now...we may only get to see them a couple times a year. They are very good about sending pictures / videos. We talk on Facebook or email or skype or text. Lots of ways to communicate. Not the same as hugs and kisses..but it sure beats the old days...snail mail, remember that??? And when you do get together, the times will be really special for all of you. Hang in there...you never know when they might be close again. It can happen, right? Sending love... Patti

Lots and Lots of rain...very thankful it was not snow or ice. We didn't have lightning either. That is an awesome picture Annie.

Sorry if I offended anyone with my post. Just trying to give our members another choice. Yes, I would like a restaurant under foot. The cover for the scoots is nice too. However, the cheaper price appeals to me and the good service and hospitality should not be overlooked. We only stayed at oberlin inn 1 time, but I have to say, we were not treated very well. Our room was not very nice either. So when they canceled my reservation the following year, they did me a favor. It's not that I am holding a grudge, I just want to go where I know I will be welcome. We had a really nice room for a cheaper price. And who wants to be that close to all the chaos at Freebirds? And the pond monsters? If its nice out, maybe b2dad will let me take the trike for a little spin back to the hotel, lol!:

We just booked our rooms for Maintenance Day 2012 at the Quality Inn in Elyria. This is where we have stayed the last 2 years and they have always treated us well. They offered us a very good rate again this year, if anyone is interested. $60.00 Per night plus tax!!! All you need to do is call them during the day, M - F, and ask for Laura or Peter. PH: 440-324-7676. Tell them you are with Venture Rider to get this rate. She remembered us from before and said it would not be a problem. Hope to see lots of you there. Don and Patti

This is NOT something else for B2dad to do. I put my foot down, enough is enough... Please PLEASE Mike...please nothing else. I am broke!!! LOL Unfortunately, they do look good. too bad they are the wrong color. See you weekend after next. Patti

Just wanted everyone to know...that B2dad does NOT need this windshield. He doesn't put enough miles on his bike in a year...he surely doesn't post here so you all wouldn't know if it was good or not. He doesn't ride when it's bad weather out...afraid he might get wet! or worse yet...COLD. (or maybe it's because he doesn't want his precious trike to get dirty..hmm) AND...if he DID win it, I would NEVER EVER hear the end of it..OK? So...my vote goes to EUSA1. I think he needs it because he still has the original windshield and really needs a new one. oh yeah..BTW...Don already has an F4 and I think he likes it..although he hasn't ridden enough since he got it to tell just how well he will like it..but will keep y'all posted...LOL Patti :cool10:
