Just spoke to Joyce, Larry's wife. He has a broken clavicle and very badly bruised spleen. He will be in the hospital in Traverse City for a few days but should recover ok. They are keeping him sedated right now due to the pain. The bike is definitely totaled. Joyce will post an update later this evening

I just spoke to Joyce, Larry's wife. She is with him at the hospital in Traverse City. He has a broken clavicle and a very badly bruised spleen. They are keeping him in the hospital for a few days to keep an eye on him. He is in alot of pain and they are keeping him sedated. He should be ok tho. Joyce will try to post something later this evening. Keep up the prayers for him. He's going to be sore for a very long time. The bike is totaled. But at least Larry is going to be ok.

You are right when you say it's about the giving. We do love a nice crowd tho. We had a great group last year and really looking forward to another one this year. Wes and Murph: Can't wait to see you there. Patti

We are making plans to meet Dragonrider for the St. Jude ride on Oct 6. Anyone else going? This is always a great ride. You can tour the hospital or Ronald McDonald house...either one is a great tour. We meet for lunch first and then ride to St. Jude's where we present our check. Then we get the tour. If you can't ride, how about a donation? We could really use it this year since we didn't do "Vogel". Contact Dragonrider and he will let you know how to do this. If you ARE going, let us know...maybe we can meet up along the way and ride together. Patti

I am sending you an order by PM. I will pick it up when I see you in a couple weeks at St. Jude's. Folks: This is for a really good cause and I am saddened that it took me a while to find this link. I wish everyone would at least order one shirt. If nothing else, it goes for a good cause and we leave in a couple weeks to present our check. It would be nice if we had a little more to give. If you could just go one time and see these kids or see the facilities you would come away a different person. St Jude does really good work and they need our help to continue. You think a $1 doesn't do anything...but it adds up. Our wonderful friends that came to mine and Don's meet in May dug DEEP in their pockets and made an awesome donation! Please join them in giving just a little more...even ONE DOLLAR. If you give TEN, you can have a shirt! Can't hardly buy a shirt for that anymore. Thanks everyone!

The Hannigan trike kit is W I D E and much more stable. Don has only lifted a rear tire once, the very first time he rode it after it was triked. Like Jay, I have to hang on for dear life because the G force when cornering is beyond belief! I thank God (AND CARBON ONE) everyday for my armrests. Otherwise I would be flying off the side. I'm not saying Don drives crazy, he is very watchful and rides defensively...but he loves the speed...so I hang on. I realize of course that there is always something that could happen..but I have never felt so safe as I do on this trike. I think the main thing is the driver, the experience that he / she has and how they react to situations. Does not matter if you are on 2, 3 or 4 wheels. It's how you react to the situation, KNOWING your bike and it's limitations. Praying for her recovery. Patti

sorry you had such a crummy day...I could say that it could have been worse...but I won't. Hope you heal fast...you gotta make it to St. Jude's next month!!! No getting out of that. Even if we have to push you around in a wheel chair...so GET BETTER SOON! Love ya! Say hi to Charlene...

As I recall Marca rather enjoyed being a passenger on one....hmmm? Lots of advantages..do I need to list them or have you lost your glasses too? Lol Patti:cool10:

:bighug: It's really great to have good friends...we have lots of them on here. We are blessed beyond belief and they are too numerous to mention...like 84 of them who came to our meet in May and helped us raise our biggest total yet for St. Jude. That is FRIENDSHIP! :thumbsup2:

You really really need to ride a trike again. Take up the offer to ride Cougar's. Maybe you could meet part way! We have an '08 we bought 2 wheel, rode 1 yr, don had it triked with Hannigan kit. NEVER EVER REGRETTED it. Like they said tho, it has to be done right...6 degree rake AND risers on the handlebar...can't remember if they are 1" or slightly more..but it makes all the difference in the world. Bongobobny has one. I think Rosebud just got one. Freebird rode ours at the International last month. So did Brown Angel and MarCarl. (Marca didn't want to get off!!). So not only are YOU getting a great ride, so is your passenger. Think about that!! Don't worry about losing your saddlebags, the trunk on the hannigan holds alot more than the saddlebags. You just gotta try it! We live 30 minutes from the Hannigan factory. If you have time, come visit...stay with us...go talk to them. You will not regret it. Patti

Welcome home guys and thanks for your service. Not sure which unit they are in, Monty...but the group from Union City had a heck of a welcome. We saw the "caravan" and it was really great! Lots of riders in attendance. Wish Don and I could have rode with you. Patti

Lewis We wouldn't miss it. Don votes for Ronald McDonald house. Either is fine with me...however, either way I will have to bring something to soak up the water in my eyes. Can't figure out why they get so wet when we do this. See you there Patti
