Y'all just wait...the bike is beautiful. AND...even Don is drooling some...yup! But don't tell him I said that.
-
So proud of you. it's been over 10 years for me and Don now. don't want one, don't like the smell / smoke. Ain't never gonna smoke again. Heck...can't afford it!! that gives you more money for ICE CREAM!!! Patti CONGRATS!!! :clap2::clap2:
-
They can have my car...I won't mess with them. LOL
-
Thanks for all the suggestions.. Set some traps and have caught a couple mice so far...dang critters!

When you put your bikes (trikes) up for the "winter" do you do anything special? Cover your tail pipes? Don put the trike in his shop but didn't do much else yet. He has been riding it some, but not for the last couple of weeks. Well...yesterday, the grandkids were here and playing in the shop with their hot wheel cars (they KNOW not to play near the bike). Caiden says to Grampa: Grampa, did you know there are nuts in your tailpipe? Grampa: HUH??? So we all go over to the trike, bend over and look...there are a handful of acorns stuffed in the tailpipes. ???? Well alrighty, something is loose in the shop and is storing food for winter. Houston, we have a problem! Don gets his shop vac out, gets the nuts out...hopefully end of problem. NOPE!! Daughter-in-law Kandi goes hunting last night, kills a deer, brings it over to the shop for Don and Daniel (our son, Kandi's husband) to process today... Don and Daniel go to the shop, start working on the deer, and Don decides to have a look at the pipes on the bike...????? There is something in there again...DEER MEAT!! chunks of deer meat! Whatever is out there...definitely thinks there is going to be a long winter...well let me tell you something! The winter is not going to be long enough for this critter. Traps are set! Will keep you posted!

Hope you had a great day. Sorry I didn't hit the lottery...moneywise...but we sure hit it with friends...especially you. Don and Patti

Hope you are feeling better Tom! Merry Christmas

I used to hunt...killed deer...not sure why I stopped except as I got older, I valued my sleep a little more... However, Last weekend was opening deer - gun season here in NW Tennessee: Don (B2dad) got a 7 pt buck Daniel (oldest son) got an 11 pt buck Caiden (grandson) got his FIRST buck...4 pt. He's 7 yrs old. 3 generations, 3 bucks, opening morning...had to take pics! I think we have enough meat for awhile...
-
I may have to check into that toe warmer stuff and battery packs...just saying...
-
I need pics of you hauling that deer on your scoot!!! That is unbelievable! not IMPOSSIBLE...just hard to picture...
-
Gee guys...(and Annie)..you all are making me feel bad that I don't ride in sub zero temps! or anything below 60. Sorry..I just get too cold and all the clothes in the world are not going to warm me up. Maybe a heated suit...hmmm....anyone try one of those? I just prefer riding when it's nice out and I don't have to bundle up like an eskimo. Here's the flip side: How many of you can ride when it's 120 out and heat index is 140??? hmmm???
-
Now remember guys..I WORK!!! So the only time I have to enjoy a ride is on the weekend. This week's forecast is nearly 80 every day..until FRIDAY..then rain and cold. YOU all may ride in the rain / cold (40's) but not me. At least not on purpose. Don rides all week and when it's not quite so warm out...but me...that's another story. Squid: EUSA1: You ride when it's practically snowing...you are CRAZY! Gary: See above...I know you Canadians ride when it's cold..I believe it's only warm there 2 months of the year so you have to ride when it's cold...right? Scarylarry: Went to the keys in June...was really nice then. Hope you have a good time. Dano: Hope you get to ride soon. That was nice of you tho to ride in the car with Rose. Hope everyone gets another ride this year..or two or three more...
-
Just when you think you are done riding for the season...we get one more nice weekend. Didn't matter that I had a ton of things to do at home. Working all week doesn't give me alot of time for chores at home...but then I hear the "B2" calling....wanna ride? wanna ride? And to heck with the "to do list"...and off we go. 70 degrees out, turning into a gorgeous "leaf looker ride"...and then I wonder...is THIS the last ride of the season? Hope not..but weather forecast does not look good for next weekend.

You got don's attention...!!! He's already drooling...need to go find the hip boots... but now that you mention it, a TENT sale would be fun. what the heck is the northern region doing? or NOT doing? hehe! so when and where you want to do a tent sale at? don't know any meets going on right now. but this would be a good time to start adding BLING to the bike...while it is in "rest" mode for the cold weather. This is the time to start cleaning it up, checking to make sure everything is in good working order, start the "I want" list... DON'T YOU THINK???? So listen up folks...if you are interested in some really cool BLING to make YOUR ride really stand out..to make your friends JEALOUS!!... contact me...the VP of Sales and Distribution of the South Central Region and I can make you a really good deal!
-
How's it going? Need some help from the VP of Sales in the Southern Region?

Happy Birthday Peggy Hope you had a great day. Was it nice enough to go for one last ride before the "you know what" sets in? :Happy Birthday:

Attention all VR Members: As you know, we recently took our donation to St. Jude's and toured the hospital. While on the tour, we noticed the "walkway" had several engraved bricks. We asked our tour guide about them and she let us know that for a certain donation, you could have a "brick" engraved. As we toured the hospital..we noticed there were walls inside with engraved plaques. Again..for a certain donation, you can have your name on a plaque on the wall. As we kept walking..we started thinking...wouldn't it be really neat to at least have a brick out there with "VENTURERIDER.ORG, For the Children" on it? So with Freebird's permission and Dragonrider's blessing...we are going to change up our St. Jude's Fundraising a little bit this year... With your help, we can raise enough money FOR AT LEAST ONE BRICK!! And who knows? If we get enough $$$ maybe, just MAYBE, we could get a plaque. The rates are as follows per the website: I went on the St. Jude's website and this is what I found: 1. Small brick: $1000 2. Lg Brick: $1500 On the TRIBUTE WALL: 1. Small Plaque: $2500-4999 2. Lg Plaque: $5000 SUPPORTER'S WALL: $10,000. If we could get just ONE DOLLAR ($!) from every member..we could do it! This is such a worthy cause. Over the years we have donated alot of money, but didn't know we could ask for a brick or plaque...This is YOUR chance to give just a little bit and yet..do SO MUCH! so what do you think? All you have to do is send your $$ to Dragonrider (Lewis Cramer) by paypal @ partin_guy@yahoo.com or by mail. Will have to add the address on a later post. Come on folks! We can do this! How about it? Are you with me? Thanks Patti and Don :fingers-crossed-emo

Had an awesome time at St. Jude's. We toured the hospital again. Just when you think you've seen it all, you get to see something new. We always have a different tour guide and each one has special stories to tell and a new place to show you in the hospital. It was "Survivor's" weekend and the hospital was overun with lots of survivors and their families, doctors, nurses, etc. As Lewis said, thanks to North Alabama Road Riders for joining us this year. They are a great group! Weather wasn't too cooperative but they rode their bikes anyway! Kudo's to them. We, on the other hand, caged it...but was definitely glad we went. Adding a few pictures here. Thanks again Lewis for setting this up for us. Always a grand time when we get to see you and Charlene. Thanks to all the others who came too. Patti and Don

Glad to see you are posting on here, if nothing else, maybe you are bored? LOL I swear..this is NOT the way to get out of taking your wife out for her birthday. There are other ways to do that mister! Hope you are starting to feel a little bit better at least. You sure scared us. Take care and we will see you soon. Don keeps threatening to come up there and see you. so be careful..you never know who is going to walk thru your door. Take care and do what the doctors say. Patti

You don't know how glad Pat and I are that you are doing better. Wish I was there or at least closer so I could come and visit with you. Keep following doctor's orders so you can get out of there...unless you are really enjoying that GOURMET hospital food! Or maybe you got a cute nurse..??? Don
