Was with Allstate about 12 years ago, then when their rates went up (for no reason) we changed to State Farm. THEN (again for no reason) they went up $300 yr when our policies came due last month. They had the house, car, jeep and bike. We realized we had the bike insured for too much and asked to lower it and they said they couldn't do that. Then we sold the bike and that started the ball rolling...we said goodbye and went to Farm Bureau. Used to have them long time ago. THEIR rates were $600 yr cheaper. Don and I almost went into shock. We did shop around online for other insurance companies but none compared to Farm Bureau and they got all our business. AND they are nice too.

yup, he was snoozing...all tired out from me cracking the whip I guess! LOL Yup, not only is he amazing with his donations, he and Joyce are amazing with their time and help here. Now if YOU were here Buddy, helping out and all...I would certainly be boasting about you too...or at least about Peg cause I know she's a sweetheart and SHE would be helping me! That's for sure. Same with Tippy...right Puc? Not too sure about you boys...you haven't been too nice so you got alot of "sucking up" to do when you get here! Weather is not going to get you out of this weekend Puc....you and Tippy just gotta come. I won't take no for an answer. Either way...be careful...everyone!!!

We witnessed the aftermath of an accident here last Sunday night. Saw the SUV first...whole left side dented up...and then saw a twisted mass of metal in the middle of the road...only recognized the bike tire. No, the rider didn't make it...Police estimated he was doing 120 mph when he hit the SUV that pulled out in front of him...Driver of SUV was legally drunk. Two wrongs did not make a right. Please don't drink and drive...Please don't speed...DO keep your eyes open for the other driver.

I really am surprised that there are no more donations. Maybe it's really time to kill these threads of no one is interested in them anymore. You don't have to top anyone's bid here...just donate a few dollars to any one of these guys. It benefits the kids at St. Jude's! Have you ever toured the place? Or toured Ronald McDonald house? It will definitely tug your heartstrings.

Let me tell you that it is absolutely on the rider AND the trike. The rider must be experienced AND the trike should be a Hannigan conversion (sorry folks, I am partial to Hannigans). With the 6 degree rake and 1 1/2 " risers on the handlebars, B2dad could run with the best of them and actually outrun anyone in the curves. Thank God for Carbon One's armrests or I would have been a goner! the "G" forces that Don created going around curves would literally have thrown me off the bike. But I still stand by the trike being safe. You just have to know what you are doing...doesn't matter 2 wheels, 3 or 4. The Hannigan trike kit had a low center of gravity plus they were WIDE and those wheels STUCK to the pavement. Never did I fear for our lives while riding except when some idiot pulled out in front of us and we had the best brakes (and the driver had the best reaction time!). Sure I ended up in the drivers seat and Don was on the gas tank, but he STOPPED IT!!! And I'll tell you one more thing...Annie is a helluva trike rider too! You can't leave her behind...she will stick with you no matter what! I will get off my soapbox now! Thank you

Just wanted to let everyone know that the B2 trike has found a new home. It is staying within the VR family. So that is good. We will let that person make the announcement. You aren't getting rid of us tho. We are still going to be on here...for a very long time! Patti and Don

Glad for you cause I know you were unsure last year about buying the other one. Sort of felt like you wish you had but part of you was unsure...well....anyhooo....I know you will like it. You will get around them cones in no time at all! THEN you can show Sunn how to do it, right???? I am really really glad for you. I will keep my fingers crossed that NEVER SAY NEVER happens! I got a parking spot ready for that wing...just in case.... "Mom"

With the riding season upon us and all those traveling to meet n eats soon...PLEASE RIDE SAFE! RIDE DEFENSIVELY!!! I can't stress this enough. YOU must watch out for the idiots out there...and those that just don't watch out for motorcyclists. Don and I saw a very very bad wreck tonite on our way home. Have no idea the cause or outcome...Every law enforcement officer in our area had to be on the scene. Traffic down to one lane on a 4 lane road. When we finally got close enough to see the delay...we saw an SUV with a very badly damaged side. But otherwise intact. I thought well, someone did a boo boo. But it didn't look like anyone could be too seriously hurt, right? then I saw it...a hunk of metal in the middle of the road. I looked at Don and tears welled up in my eyes. It was a twisted mass of metal...I recognized a TIRE and that was about it. A helmet off to the side...No way did anyone survive that. Just laying in the middle of the road. The ambulance was already gone, no victims standing around, only officers writing on their forms....taking measurements, taking notes. I don't want to watch the news tonite. I just pray it was not someone we knew...but whoever it was...had family at home...somewhere. I am so choked up. Please send up a prayer for this family. Thank you

where's the vr members that are bidding??? anyone??? Dragonslayer is offering to SHAVE HIS HEAD for pete's sake!!!! I might would pay to see that !!! Wouldn't you?
-
Ok boys (and girls)... I like the direction this is taking...members going in together and pooling their bids!!! that is awesome! HOWEVER, (and correct me if I'm wrong...) does this mean that we will get ALL the money that is bid...or only the money from the "winning" team? (just asking...) Would be freaking awesome if ALL the money that is bid be donated for St. Jude's. Since there is no Vogel this year, we need all we can get. And of course...bragging rights for Champion Thread Killer...could even be a trophy in it...hmmm....I'm sure we could dig up something. So how about it folks? Who's in? Who is GAME????? Who is MASTER GAMER? There is a TITLE at stake here for HIGH bidder and team!!! Post your BID here on THIS thread!!!! SO THIS IS WHAT I PROPOSE: GAME will end Saturday, May 17th...11 am (central time). (I am going to be busy folks getting things ready for the meet...I have cooking to do...and things to set up...so I may ask for help from my crew here to check on this.) Any thoughts on this? With a huge thank you to all of you involved... Patti
