BC brought them out for bikes & trucks about 6 months after the car plates. I won't be able to get a pic of a bike one for about another month. But it is the same design as the car plates.

Yup, pull the clutch plates apart & clean the steels. They are probably stuck together, from lack of use.

Well so much for that idea, it's not a shipping problem like I had thought, but a bidding problem.
-
Check with Ken (wuzzfuzz) on the US shipping address location he uses in Sumas WA. From what he told me the cost is $3.00 per parcel, for the drop shipping.

Rear Shocks goin bad.
Rocket replied to BuddyRich's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The problem seems to be mostly with the oil seals & not the air portion, but the station air still could be a factor. No problem with mine, but I will be installing a new spring on mine regardless. -
Also I thought of along the lines of a medevil era wizard. I know the wizard bit is not correct, but the era may be........... :rotf: Last winter at the rifle range, someone asked on how bad was the weather, in the last ice age. One of the Master Corporal's replied, go ask the Regimental Sargent Major......

The problem would be getting all the air out of the caliper itself. The easiest method I can think of offhand. Is to unbolt the caliper, slide it on the disk, so the bleeder screw is at the high point. Bleed the brakes & re-mount the caliper back in position.

Dan, maybe get a bucket of "Gunk parts cleaner" with the basket in it, for soaking the carbs. This can be found in some Auto parts stores. You should be able to soak two at a time (broken down into various parts) in it. Also why not pull the carbs off the blue beast in the interm, to continue your checkout, of the rest of the bike & test rides (if there is no sn*w in your area).

I was in the process of PMing Don & when I saw it was taken care of, I didn't send the PM. Looks like we will need to keep an eye out, for more of this. As it seems to be picking up, which is not good.

Today, I have made an inquiry to J&M, about their JMCB2003 for connecting into the 1st gen VR Mk1 amp. I am awaiting their reply back, will update as I have more info to pass on. But here is what I had sent them "A few of us 1st Gen Venture Royale (1200cc early model 83-85) owners from http://WWW.VENTURERIDER.ORG, have been looking at adding CB onto our bikes. It is difficult to find all the components needed, for the optional OEM CB. Is it possible to patch your JMCB2003, into the din jack of the OEM amp (right angle plug required), that is provided for an optional CB. The bike is equipped with AM/FM radio, cassette deck & intercom when your YV-41 interface cables are installed, this all passes through the OEM amp. If I remember correctly it is a 6 pin din jack for the CB in the amp, if needed I will go to where the bike is stored for the winter & check. I am not sure which model would be best for this adaption, probably the dual or the Honda GL1500, as some will let the wife talk on the CB. "

Here is most of the info you will need http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=508 Also check out this thread, download the PDF for off line viewing. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2922 It may be an idea to hookup with the 2nd gear changeout expert AKA Muffinman.

Better plan on meeting up with the Ontario Clan too, for various M&Es including Carl's which is a MUST ATTEND in my opinion............

I will be in mine, about 2 hours from now, for todays Rememberance Day service.

Not many these days, compared to the size of the general population. A person would need to take courses for both restricted & non-restricted & filling out a very intrusive license application form. The application has been known, to take a year to process. The license is valid for 5 years, needs to renewed prior to expiry. For self defense or defending someone else, a person is still likely to get charged & go to trial. The police don't like it, if someone stands up to scum. For defending property, forget it, we couldn't even do it in the military over in the former Yugoslavia (peacekeeping tours), without it being, an designated item. Only designated items, that deadly force was authorized to retain possession of, weapons are an example of such an item.

That won't happen easily, as you will be hanging out in our chat room.......:rotf:

Not quite Redneck. I am licensed for both non-restricted (over 26" length) & restricted (under 26", over 4.25" in length), which includes handguns. The regulations say we must have a trigger lock on them & in a locked container. This is for storage & transportation to / from a range. There are some in the general population, that want the firearms to be stored at the range. Which IMHO, can result in regional one stop shopping for these POS.

Ok, will pull it off the other bike, when I get home for Xmas leave, next month. I also have a manual with the schematic.
