  1. Who needs to try, you do fairly good all by yourself............
  2. He has the best series of the Venture. Although a slower model. You didn't notice that this thread is in "First Gen Tech Talk", maybe that is why you ride a 2nd gen (nearly blind & need to keep the speed down)......... :stirthepot::rotf:
  3. These are the lights, replacement lenses & grills that are available....... http://www.dragspecialties.com/fatbook/17/353/5912298 I just re-did mine this last weekend, new lenses, grills & 1 replacement light assy. I bought mine here http://www.shopv-twincycles.com/shop/
  4. I haven't looked in there, but at the very least there is the cam chain openings, to serve as an oil return route.
  5. Basically same procedure as CLASS E4 error repair. It just takes longer to dig the CMS out of the dash, to re-solder the main plug in connections.
  6. Currently, minus 16*C http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/CAAB0321
  7. Also have you adjusted your mixture screws & Synced the carbs yet? The settings will probably be way off now, with the new parts installed.......
  8. Possible poor seal on one or more of the diaphrams, allowing fuel out & causing an lean condition?????
  9. I'm logged in as a visitor, after selecting "start video Chat" & going to friends/family
  10. Has anyone tried adapting one for a 1st gen????
  11. Do it at the International meet this year.... Marcarl your supplying the Ribs, if we can pull it off. There should be enough, for all to sample, all contenders results.
  12. Who knows I might be passing close by, on my way to Sarges46 place next month, for a visit.
  13. Make sure you have a good backup.......... Don't hit the "Delete" button.........
  14. Do not rush, look for bolts & screws, as you proceed along the process. If something doesn't want to come out, you missed a fastener.......... Windshield, Mirrors, Turn Signals, Radiator Side Trim & Sidecovers come off, Lower Fairings, Headlight Cover, Vent Air Scoop (underside below headlight) too. Pull the Radio Panel assy, remove 6 screws for panel mount & CLASS Controller mount (4 screws, tilt front end up pull forward) too. Unscrew the console covers & remove after dis-connecting speakers, 4 way hazard switch (I unplug thru the turn signal openings). You now have access to your mounting fasteners for the outer fairings. A few more things will need to be disconnected to remove the inner fairing plastic. But you will see this, without difficulty.
  15. The 40 Amp fuse I referred to, is outside of the fuse block, it is between the positive terminal of the battery & the fuse block itself. It is too big to fit in the fuse block. I have found that the one of the leads can come unplugged on mine fairly easily (clip not locking).
  16. If I remember correctly, it is 40 Amps.
  17. I am also interested in one. It will kind of make it less obvious that I need a re-paint (probably do that next year).
  18. Nice one, Froggy..........:rotf:
  19. 36" on the starter & ground leads, about 6" for the battery to starter relay.
  20. Just what we didn't want, another member of the asphalt surfers club. Will keep an eye out for goodies for your scoot. BTW, I still need one of those patches myself.
  21. Maybe for Don's maintenance day too, with the pond monster there.
  22. Yamaha, more likely packages the product, with their labels. I think it is the same stuff. See http://www.threebond.com/Comsumer.html "Our ability to meet the stringent requirements of manufacturers that lead the world also enables us to satisfy the demands of consumer markets such as the world's largest cosmetics companies and the hobby industry. We produce and market a range of adhesive products for consumers, from fingernail kits to plastic repair kits for motorcycle fairings, to adshesives for radio-controlled airplane modeling. After we've contributed to the building of your car, ThreeBond products help you to maintain it. As well as producing and selling our own range of car care products, we supply private label liquid chemical products to a variety of industries for sale under their brand names. For years they have trusted ThreeBond's commitment to production, quality control, delivery and after-sales service."
