Yup, it's the Deer Hunter, I was wearing a parka over my riding jacket, as it was 32*F outside at the time. Will get some daytime shots this weekend of the clock.

Got it tonight....... Right in the middle of an intersection, by a bar. BTW this is also the local Cenotaph for Rememberance Day. Next will be You, your bike & at least one cop car (uniformed cop in pic is optional) at a Donut shop, Doughnut shop sign must be visable in one pic.

Sure, get Charlie to photoshop something together.......

You can probably wrench better than Rick (not that it takes much), now to get your riding practice in............. Enjoy putting in the miles, riding a scoot, yourself.........

Poor sound from headsets
Rocket replied to BJB's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I just wonder if your interface cables have poor connections to the amp, or could be due to be replaced. Those can still bought new for about $51.00 USD here (they will ship USPS too). http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM%2DYV%2D41 -
I just checked & front right is interchangeable with the rear, according to the online listing.

It is a vent tube for the air box, connects to the left front corner area. -

Problem: Clutch won't release
Rocket replied to Marcarl's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Relocating that washer, to just under the nut locking tab will work wonders, for the clutch operation. -
Glad you got it done, fairly quickly after your visit.

Here is another source for parts, aside from Yamaha, I had to go there for my fork bushings as the bushing for the fork tube was not listed separately in the 83 Yamaha parts listings. http://www.racetech.com/evalving/english/Srchpr.asp?bikeid=497&manufacture=Yamaha&model=XVZ1300+Venture&year=87%2D91&TABLEINFO=street&langname=english If someone needs to replace the upper fork tubes, here is a good source for new ones, it was about $245 for a pair on my 83 Vs about $200. each from Yamaha http://www.frankmain.qpg.com/

headset location and info for first gen venture royale
Rocket replied to wannabees's topic in General Tech Talk
On the early model VR this was an option, if you look at the top of the amp (under the rubber cover). You will see the cassette din plug, 2@din jacks for intercom (5 pin) & a din jack for an optional cb radio too. If the intercom interface cables are on the bike, great, but if not, they are still listed here (here is the link to the kit needed) http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM%2DYV%2D41 They are great to deal with, will ship USPS too. -
You going to use the snowblower to access your shed & get the scoots out???? Or are you going to wait, for your FIX. I had sent Gord an Email for a reminder, after getting back here, to make sure he remembered. Rick, you will be in Red Deer the wrong weekend , the bike swap & shop is on 6th of April....

Bob, maybe you should do what noddy had done, for me to get at his scoot, for the fork seals. He used a snowblower in the back yard, to clear a path to his shed & around the door openings.
