  1. Are they going to have time, to perform their normal jobs. It sounds, like they will be really busy, with you............. :rotf:
  2. They are supposed to unscrew more than that, probably a bunch of crud in there, causing the problems.
  3. Not hard to do........ Trust me, it happens.............:mo money:
  4. Yeah, where is the Pics????????
  5. Your Postmaster is full of it, if the cheapest method of parcel post is used, no tracking # is available. One of the best ways with tracking is http://www.usps.com/international/prioritymailinternational.htm
  6. Use the other country's postal tracking system (if there is one), with the same tracking # as shipped with. Here is the link for the Canada Post Tracking. http://www.canadapost.ca/Personal/Tools/Track/ItemSingle.aspx This sometimes takes a while to get updated, as any other method of tracking.
  7. If the levels are ok in both reserviours, start checking sensor electrical connections.
  8. It also interferes with PIP too....... Some of the Sask members would possibly, head over to that one.
  9. The surprising part, is that the camera didn't break. Must be an idustrial grade camera....
  10. I can't see pulling the tank, as the sending unit is on the top......... Just pull the seat & have a look.
  11. If your connections at the sending unit, are not the cause, the next likely cause is the CMS display (solder joints) it is a similar repair to the CLASS controller. I find it easier to pull the front of the dash off, when pulling the CMS display out of the housing.
  12. Would have liked to have seen that, but too costly to take the truck. Did you get PICs of the visit??? Scoot's tranny, started making a racket last weekend, need to find the cause of it.
  13. That is about normal when sitting still, the calibration of the guage & sending unit is out on these, the fan kicks in a little higher yet, right about the red line. It runns cooler when moving.
  14. He loses the scoot & the Feds sell it........
  15. Was just thinking, maybe we can get the info from Salty, for the Radium Ride he had set up a couple of years ago & base it out of the Radium Hotsprings area. If we do this one Swims suits, please no pond monster sightings....
  16. The lower is the minimum amount of fluid before topping up, the line on the inside is a long one(opposite side from sight glass if I remember correctly), just below where the diaphram sits. I fill to a little below that line, leaving some room for expansion, but not a lot as the fluid level will drop as the pads wear. So maybe, there is nothing wrong with the level switch, just not enough fluid in there, to shut off the warning.
  17. The fluid level mark at the sight glass is the lower level, the full level line is on the inside. If the sight glass is easily seen through, you can bypass the sensor by cutting the wires & connecting together, to stop the CMS error. Or put a new sensor assy in (currently listing for $45. @ flatout MC + shipping), CDN dealers will be higher but no shipping fees. How you want to handle this issue is up to you, but these are my suggestions. BTW to open mine, the scoot is on the side stand, with the front wheel turned, so the cover is as level as possible. This depends on the riders preferred positioning of the levers, when riding.
  18. I normally put in a good dose of seafoam, prior to storage ensuring it has a chance to reach the carbs (when I can't ride for extended periods). Disconnect the battery & top up the charge, a fully charged battery will not freeze. Running the engine during winter, without letting it reach max temp (fan kicking in), can result in condesation & milky oil.
  19. No it's not common at all. Are you doing this, with the unit as level as possible (not tilted) I would test the switch with a multimeter at the connector (somewhere behind the headlight), with the float in the upper position & lower position. You should have continuity in the upper position & no continuity in the lower position. It is also possible of dirty / corroded contacts at the connector, or damaged wires for the switch. The final but unlikely (in this case) is a CMS solder joint problem.
  20. Have to like the cheap fixes..... Remember to work the switches some, when doing this & should give them some "air dry time" before putting back together.
  21. Probably designed for those countries, where nothing but sandles are worn.......
  22. Anyway to set this up for a long weekend (use part of it for travel time), as to save some holiday time for the other rallies, like International & Ventures West. I will start the teardown, on the scoot, this weekend. :mo money:
  23. Ahhhhh, now paying for your out & about, play time..................
  24. Get ahold of Condor, as he currently has 2 spare sets (as stated in the last update).
