  1. Now we will have to keep him last, in the food line, at the gatherings. Otherwise there won't be any for the rest of us, with his three big mouths to feed.
  2. Can't see why not, I use a Mk2 seat on my 83.......FYI the passenger seat on the Mk1 is narrower at the back & very slightly shorter, due to trunk being smaller, removable.
  3. You are correct, they are the same for all 1st gens.........
  4. After last weekend I thought you had a few screws loose:stickpoke:, I confirmed it today....... All three retaining screws for your gear indicator switch were loose. That is why the leak & indication problems. There is also a small crack at one of the switch mounting holes (not in the engine casting), but that should not be a problem, as it goes to the outer edge.
  5. Good prices here & put that you are a Venturerider member in the comments box. http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?category=Motorcycles&make=Yamaha&year=1984&fveh=81
  6. Like I said before, you already paid for more parts, with the meals you had bought last weekend. The tricky part, will be timing the next US purchase, to get the best exchange rate possible. BTW I picked up the solid motor mounts today, from the post office.
  7. That bike was done up for a TV show called Patent Bending, was a quick subsitute. As their planned project was done by someone else, prior to the build. I know this, as I saw the show & that info was aired in the show.
  8. I hope to get his bottom case back on this weekend...... Now, where did I put, that tube of threebond 1104?????
  9. I'll have to agree with you on this......... :rotf: Maybe if I have time, we will meet up on my way through next month (to the island for the holidays).
  10. Not quite, the Retriever is the product of a Swedish company. http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2005/08/24/goldwing-retriever/ http://www.comingthrough.se/main.php?lang=UK&page=pro
  11. Nope, you lost it when you bought the 2nd gen.............
  12. One thing about the BC collector plates, to & from work usage is not allowed........
  13. Same here this is just a spare set, being stored for whenever needed. I'm running Mk2 mufflers, with modified mounts.
  14. That Taz looks like a bit of a flamer, are you going to hang out with Calamarie now?????????
  15. Yup, you need to ride the scoot, before needing it there........ A 1 block test ride is not enough.
  16. Expecting spillage, when drinking it, Froggy????????? I'm wherever needed, my shirt & jacket collars are a digital camouflage pattern (along with the rest of the uniform).......
  17. I think Ben has a good point..........:rotfl:
  18. Out of province inspection & ICBC, if this is not costly enough, I have more..... Lift adapter would be a good thing to get, along with a lift, if you don't have one. :mo money:
  19. On the 1st gen, they are the same, M8x1.25.... I don't know about the 2nd gen, but one would think, they would use the same size.
  20. From Squid of course....................
  21. We get started on it next weekend, here in Wainwright. Basically just waiting for him to bring it up & the solid motor mounts to come in (easier to install with the engine out). I have all the anticipated parts & a few extra, here.
  22. I have had no problems, but I also strap the scoot to the jack as a precaution.
  23. Rocket

Try to stay out of the pond.......
  24. Yup, it is not a dry tech only site.............. The meets are a lot of fun too, thinking back to the "good, bad & ugly" from this years International meet. Reiny are your sidekicks, going to be in the same costumes this weekend????? For those that did not make it & seeing what is this weekend. I will post a pic of "the good, bad & ugly". Sorry it's on the dark side, maybe someone has a better pic to post.
  25. I normally start on the active threads page (set as my browser home page) & see it there, at the bottom. Looks like I had mis-spoke, without verifying that it also showed up on the main forum page. But I had checked watering hole, jokes & humor, poor man fixes & it shows on the bottom of those pages. So it looks like they show up in the various forum pages, but not the main forum page.
