  1. Don, that wasn't nice & with this site being down this morning, the effect was compounded for us......... I still shudder at the thought of this site going down......... Your brother doesn't want it???????????
  2. Now we need pics of his ugly mug, along with the new scoot (not a beer mug)........ Or do you think you will break the camera???????
  3. That's when I'm leaving second gear, when having fun cleaning out the carbon...........
  4. You can pull the dash, by going through the headight opening & removing the 2 dash mount retaining bolts. The dash is then is just held in place by 4 locating pins. It may be best to remove the windshield & front signal lights, for easier access when pulling it out & to get side views too.
  5. Try your local dealer, last I looked they were still available new & prior to the recent price increase on parts, they were about $20.
  6. It would have been much worse, if it was a full sized pic of Squidley & not a reduced diameter pic.
  7. Pics in this thread http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6916&highlight=dipstick
  8. Take a look in the guts of it... I had one that did that, the lock cylinder was loose in the housing & I put a shim (very thin washer) beween the housing & the cylinder retention clip, to tighten things up. I also cleaned & lubed the slide, reassembled & it works. It is also possible that the protrusion on the cylinder, that engages the slide is broken off. But you won't know until, you check it out.
  9. It is simpler than that, splice the wire by the spade connector at the temp switch (switch connects ground when hot enough) behind the right fairing. Connect the wire added to a switch & ground to other side of new switch, then it can be turned on at will, by flipping the switch, or let it operate normally.

    Hey squid

You could also model them, at Don's Maint Day.......... Look at all the torment, you could cause by that.......... :rotfl:
  11. If it's the front upper mounting points, install these as replacements.... A great cheap fix.... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=8181&highlight=ball+studs
  12. Because, Allan also possibly gets lost between the fridge & the tv set. Maybe that is, just CRS setting in........ It's a wonder he managed to find his way to & from the motel room and rally HQ, in Kitchener last year (maybe he had someone to guide him). :rotf: From what I have read so far, this new name is very fitting for him........
  13. An alternative, is to start with a 5 pin right angle MIDI cable from a music store, for the basis of making 2 patch cables. I wonder, where J & M get their right angle plugs from, as they are not molded into the interface cables.
  14. I refer to him, as the 3 headed Mutt..........
  15. You starting this thread, may have caused the profile hits & your friends reactions....... I will have to continue, to keep updated on this thread........ :rotfl: Isn't he paranoid already, looks like it.......... Must be a result of PMS & no riding therapy..... :snow::snow:
  16. Thanks for letting us know, about this increase.
  17. Well, there is always Neckbones as a fall back, as I heard you mention that one, last year at rally HQ.
  18. Not sure which ones, but EBC makes replacements for the rotor discs & last I looked they were in the $135. range, at Dennis Kirk. They also had a fitment cross reference for the part #s too.
  19. This may be what you are looking for, can't seem to find them without the deeper housing... http://www.dragspecialties.com/fatbook/14/276/7724787?q=baron
  20. Sounds like the scoot caught a cold, better give it some TLC.........:snow:
  21. Here is the link to the brackets, pics are there too & they attach to the stock horn mounts. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php/product/1371/cat/6
  22. I don't think Russ, goes anywhere without it........... He also trailers the scoot too, now if his scoot gets ridden (by him) during a meet, that is debatable.......... :stirthepot: You staying out of trouble, isn't that a first.........
  23. This will be a winter project type item. Unless someone discovers a way to do it, without pulling the motor & splitting the cases.
  24. I like the bit of going from pic to pic in the posts.............:thumbsup2: PS: The post count is showing again, in the posts. Don't know if you want to hide it again, or just leave it?????
