  1. If I remember correctly it is 27MM, same size as the rear axle nut.
  2. You had lead the way for 1 reason, you have been to Pete's before & knew the way.........
  3. Read the question again, you missed the point of it........ He was looking for the interface cables for the bike & not headsets or the headset lower cord......
  4. Try here, for the complete set..... http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM%2DYV%2D41
  5. Bill, if yo go this way. You will want the 8 x 1.25L, both Esquimalt Auto & Lordco has been good at getting them in for me, in the past. These are not a must have, but are a nice to have item.
  6. On which year(s) of bike, could this be a Mk2 thing?????
  7. Eck you must be thinking 2nd gen. As I did not find any on the Mk1, when I changed my grips out. The weights were almost the same length as the tubes & just slid into place.
  8. They are just pushed in to the rubber, like the front side panel mounts for the fairing.
  9. I found blasting air, under the rubber, from an air nozzle helps big time......
  10. In the XVZ12TDK Supplementary Service Manual, starting at page #33 is the CLASS Troubleshooting. If you have this manual refer to it. The CLASS Troubleshooting PDF (extracted from the manual), I had done, is too large to post as an attachment, for you. Some members, have needed 2 trys at the solder fix, to get the CLASS working right.
  11. I haven't seen that pic of Fluffy (correct profile), for a while.........:rotf:
  12. Rocket

    Bike for sale

Guess he is getting ready, for the white cane too....... That must be why, he's moving to the slower scoot.
  13. Friesman1 had some prior issues with his, that he told me about, after I fixed it by lubing all the throttle cables (normal winter maint). This is probably, not your problem, but I thought you should be aware, that non lubed could have some affect, with some cruise control issues.
  14. Cancelled by a combination of time & distance since activated, both conditions must be met to self cancel.
  15. What gear is he running in, at that speed???? It should be 3rd or 4th & not 5th, remember these engines like to rev up. In 5th he would be lugging the engine, the minimum for 5th is about 50 mph (3,000 rpm).
  16. I bought mine direct from J&M 3 years ago, others have bought them from Sierra a lot more recently. I probably will be ordering another set from them soon, as part of another project in the planning stages. If you want to make your own, hit a music store & get a 5 pin DIN MIDI cord with right angle plugs (long enough to make both cables out of it). You will need to cut it & solder on inline jacks, the cables are set up in a straight through configuration.
  17. Black Owl, trailers all the time.......... He trailers the scoot everywhere........ I think he only rolled it off the trailer at PIP, for looks & a carb sync.
  18. For the interface cables that hook up to the amp. J&M made these for Yamaha & are still listed at a fraction of the Yamaha price. http://www.sierra-mc.com/proddetail.asp?prod=JM%2DYV%2D41 Then if using J&M headsets, you will need the lower cord (5pin bottom connector), for the headset used
  19. Looks like the piece (glass retainer?), from inside of the engine oil level sight glass.
  20. New rubbers for the O.E.M. pegs, installed as needed. Same part # for all 4 pegs. COVER, FOOTREST 26H-27413-02-00 $20.23 each @ Flatout MC.
  21. This clutch tool is made up of a steel clutch plate & 1/2" diameter steel rod about a foot long welded to it. Someone else at work welded it for me, as I can't weld worth s**t. It is used to hold the inner clutch basket still, while torquing the centre nut, to 50 ft lbs. This makes it a quick easy job, for those of us that helps others, with their bikes & is worthwhile to keep in the tool box.
  22. Yamabond is Three Bond 1104 in a different tube...............
  23. Probably playing with the new V max.......:thumbsup2:
