  1. It would be going in a 1st gen , not a 2nd gen , therefore no turd involved.........
  2. Check both the fuses for the radio, just on the off chance, it gets the power feed from there. I doubt it, but you never know, I have never gone looking for it, myself.
  3. Also remember, USPS would be best, for cross border shipping..... I have refused deliveries over cross border UPS fees, that is added on at delivery, in addition to the shipping cost paid to the seller.
  4. Actually they are priced at $9.00 less, than I paid for mine, directly from J&M. BTW: both cables in the kit are long ones.
  5. 1500 Km for the route shown, on your page, for my trip over there.
  6. It would still be tough for a 2nd gen to do, even with the UPS truck parked...... :rotf:
  7. Glad to hear , let the charging begin, both on the bikes & C.C. accounts to paypal....
  8. The 4 footer power bar, yup..... Cut the plug off & hard wired it in.
  9. If I don't add them all in, it should be fine.....
  10. Nope, scoot only......
  11. A wrench for the oil filter bolt & another one for the drain plug. Why use a lift for the oil change, just use the centre stand.......
  12. I don't, maybe Friesman1 does. I did not use it, just the angled bracket for the frame mount. Use an auto parts metric bolt (13mm head), put the bracket in a vise if possible & wind the horn into place, as it needs to be mounted tight. Then re-install the bracket & horn, start wiring up the relay.
  13. I think this news, had caught everyone by surprise, I know it did, to me.
  14. Recently, I had started putting together a mobile garage. I did this for 2 reasons, sooner or later I will be leaving Wainwright for home, with a bunch more stuff, than I arrived here with... This will also give me a dry place, to work on scoots, back on the wet coast. I took 3 pics today, of the setup work done over the last 3 weekends, since getting the trailer. I will be adding more lights, but CDN Tire was out of the ones, I'm using over the workbench (which is roughed in but not finished). The tool box is bigger than what I was going to put in. But with the current sale price, I couldn't really pass it up. $1,000. normally, $625. Sale price + additional $350 Bonus card, to get more goodies. So I figure $275 for the tool box, I'm grabbing it, besides I was eyeing it for about 1.5 years.......... :mo money:
  15. I put the Nautilus on mine & Friesman1's scoots (83 & 85). I installed them, on the left side horn mount.
  16. Exhaust soot on the header pipes, or Y pipe adapters, is a good indicator. Drop the collector, to free up the bottom end, undo the top end. Move the top plastic cover from over valve cover (if still there), rear master cylinder & reserviour out of the way (no need to disconnect lines, just pull out for clearance). Pull Y pipe out of the right side.
  17. Bleeder screws are easy to get, 8 X 1.25 is the size for the Mk1. You can get them at bike shops or auto parts places. Some of us are running speed bleeders (built in check ball), in place of the normal bleeders.
  18. Here is a copy & paste for you, in the meantime........
  19. I think her handle was Chicken Little at the time & I am guessing she was getting too many chicken recipies.........
  20. Just drain oil at the middle gear cover (bottom allen bolt with copper washer), as you will need to pull that cover, to check the inner linkage connections.
  21. I concurr with this, get well quick.................
  22. You guys, could spend a lot of time in the chat rooms......... Hey yammer, no napping in chat........ Hobbling to the fridge for a cold one, or munchies is ok, of course.
  23. Russ will be there..........
