The 200 CC restriction was after I got my class 6 in the mid 80's, I think it came in to effect during later portion of the 90's. I will need to check into this futher, as I also had a CM 200 twinstar to start with. It was equipped with passenger pegs on it & I carried passengers on it all those years ago, in downtown Victoria & Esquimalt. Kerry, but what class does your sons licence show on it, there should have #5 #6 on it. If there has been no #6 on it for years, then it is start from scratch for the class 6. A friend has been going though that. Found a couple of other links http://www.bclaws.ca/Recon/content/site?id=freeside&xsl=/Recon/template/toc.xsl/group-M/ http://www.mcneneymcneney.com/fighting-for-riders-rights/overview.htm Not sure how active this group is http://www.bccom-bc.com/main.htm for all of us bc'ers.........

I too have been running Metzlers for about 14 years.... I really liked the ME 88 rear on my Maxim it usually lasted twice as long as the front tires. Too bad that size was of ME 88 was dropped, as I also preffered the tread pattern. I am on my 3rd ME 880 rear on the 83 VR, wore the other 2 out (what I consider wore out & not to a slick with no tread in the centre)......... I am also running dyna beads on this set of tires & liking them.

So what are the possible legal options that can be persued to rectify this harrasment / double standard............ By the way things sound, this needs to happen ASAP.
-
Yup it is & a double standard as well........... The 200 CC+ passenger bit should only apply for after those that got MC, after that requirement was introduced, with all others before grandfathered. The re-test after suspension, should be for both cage & bike or none at all.........

And a case of batteries every year, if using the tracking mode............ Considering his tendancy to be out on the road..... :mo money:

Yup, private here in Alberta, I spend a portion of what I did in B.C. (will again, whenever I leave here for home) & for much more coverage too. Bike: Full Coverage (the works) $549 + Registration Vs $930 for Basic Coverage including Registration. Better rates on the truck & trailer too + trailer registration is permanent in Alberta too (no yearly renewal).......... :thumbsup2:
-
Yup, change all 4 & be done with them..... Not likely, that any dealer will have them in stock. But it shouldn't take long to get them in (as long as not back ordered).
